From the lovely staff who maintain the property to the clean, modern and well thought out theme, the entire property was wonderful. Well designed, a beautiful nod to Nordic culture, and full of surprises like wild goats and fire pits.

Staying at this resort was such a treat. We stayed just one night on our New England road trip but I wish we could have stayed longer. We visited with our 3 How To Train Your Dragon and Thor loving boys—but this hotel is so much more than a fun place for kids. While it’s great for families the attention to detail and elegance of the rooms makes it a luxurious stay for adults too. There was no detail overlooked from the fun things like dragon towel hooks to multiple nightlights along the staircase for safety. The other thing I really appreciated was the commitment to clean products used in the cabins. While it wasn’t obviously stated anywhere, the products in the cabins were all eco friendly and fragrance free. The cabins also didn’t smell like any cleaning products or fragrance—which I love not only as an asthmatic, but because I knew it was truly clean, not just covered in perfume. I wish we lived closer and could stay here again!

It was spectacular! Restful, peaceful, wonderful!!! Everything you need in a little kitchen area. Cute shops and restaurants in nearby towns. Very nice fire pit, Hiking trails right on property. Adorable sheep (don’t worry- no smell) The owners were amazing. I hope I get to stay again sometime.

Our stay at Vikings Villages was fantastic. The cottages are done very tastefully, have everything you need and are very clean. The grounds are beautiful, there's a nice firepit to enjoy in the evening. We loved watching the sheep also. The owner was very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay in the future.

We were blown away by this property! The theme-ing was on point but never in a way that sacrificed quality. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were extraordinary throughout the property. A highlight was reading with my morning coffee overlooking the sheep herd. Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent cabin filled with the scent of wood! Healing for body and soul. Everyting was spotless and well-maintained. Staying there felt like stepping into a real Vilking village, somewhere in Norway during the Viking age. We only had one night this time, but we’re definately planning a longer stay next time ~
