Located just a half mile from downtown Breckenridge and two blocks from a shuttle stop to town and the slopes, Rapids Retreat is a great spot for your next mountain getaway. This lovely 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom deluxe home is the perfect retreat for families or groups of up to 10 people, with new hardwood flooring and furniture updates throughout. There’s a gas grill on the upper deck and a large private hot tub on the lower patio

The living room on the main level has an LCD TV and a wood burning fireplace to relax next to after a great day in the mountains. The fully equipped kitchen offers everything you’ll need to whip up meals for your group. There is seating for eight people at the dining table, and the upper deck is right off the kitchen and living room. On the lower level you’ll find a pool table and a separate kitchenette/mini bar (fridge and sink).

Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer and parking for two vehicles. Every Summit Mountain Rentals property comes stocked with plenty of linens, towels and hotel-like toiletries, and is professionally cleaned and inspected before each arrival. Great location on river and trails to town. Property needed an additional cleaning in living room and kitchen to remove dog hair from couches and floors. Road construction was happening in front of house and all around neighborhood creating loud construction noise, and preventing us from completing leaving the house on Friday Aug 22 due to fresh asphalt and at the written request of the construction company.

Breckenridge Ruined Our Vacation

There is a huge construction project in Breckenridge. Our property manager gave use the details and provided an alternate home. Unfortunate the alternate home was substandard. The city's documents said a 1-Day disruption. So we decided we could stay at the home we rented. Heck we could go enjoy the mountains for the day! So we move in on monday. Monday night the city's work crew cuts the power and internet. 12yearold children don't like internet and 6 hour power disruptions. NO INFORMATION FROM BRECKENRIDGE. Power restored that evening. TUESDAY placard was place on the door stating "WATER will be off from 9:00am until evening. We wake Wednesday, prepare to vacate for the day, only to discover the city barricaded our vehicle, preventing exiting our driveway. I personally moved the barricade. Day spent enjoying Frisco, only to come home and find nothing was done, nothing! The city of Breckenridge placed another placard stating, "WATER will be off from 9:00am until evening"- Thursday. Again we vacate only to come home to find no work was done and new placard for Friday. Friday arrives construction actually happens. Water is off, driveway blocked. We thought we wouldn't be able to check out. I spent the day with the crew supervising. If I hadn't. The crew would have left us without water and path to our vehicles to travel home. 2 nine foot deep holes blocked our access. AND STILL NO communication from the city Breckenridge. Why do we pay Rental Tax??? Dont stay in Brec

Beautiful Location! Amazing Hosts!

Due to some construction in the area, these amazing hosts made sure our stay was all we could hope for and more. We had to change houses as the home we were to stay was in the middle of the construction area (noise and dust abounded). The relocation was so appreciated and it was a beautiful home. Summit Mountain Rentals knows how to take care of their guests and pivot when needed. Thank you so much for making our stay so fantastic. Love Breckenridge! It is such a walkable town. Free buses throughout insures no one has to drive (er um , drink and drive) and everyone gets a break! Be sure to take the free gondola up to Peak 7 and Peak 8 (two different stops) and catch lunch, dinner or just a drink and enjoy the views!!

Suited our needs but needs some TLC

Hi! We had a pleasant stay at the property, which generally suited our needs as we skied every day at a different resort in our 4 days there. The location is great, and we particularly enjoyed walking the dog to the nearby waterfall. It’s conveniently located near the shuttle stop and just a short distance from downtown.However, there are a few updates and improvements that would enhance the experience. The master bedroom is an open loft above the living room, which might be challenging for those who prefer different sleep schedules. The hot tub was a nice feature, but we found that it took quite a while to reach a comfortable temperature, so we couldn't use it until our second night. The pool table added some fun to our stay, which we appreciated.One area for improvement is the kitchen lighting; it was quite dim with just a single light illuminating the space, and the light under the microwave was broken. A headlamp might come in handy for cooking! ;-)Additionally, we encountered some pet waste left by the previous owners that hadn't been addressed by the maintenance team, which was a bit disappointing.Overall, this property can comfortably accommodate many guests and perhaps a couple of families with its many beds. With some decor enhancements, it could be even more enjoyable.

Not kid friendly or well kept up. Location is great.

Property not kept up. Couch broken and linens had holes. Not really kid friendly. Bunk ladder was broken and fell when kids first used. Upstairs bed is very close to railing. A piece of wood with nails kept kids from going down to river. Location is the best thing about this cabin, super close to Main Street and mountain. Not bad if you don’t have kids.

Read this before you book

We have stayed in Breck for several years. The location of this property is really great and convenient to downtown and to Peak9. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with this property. The listing does not accurately describe the home. The house is exceptionally dated, and has not been updated. The listing said the house had 4 bedrooms, with one having a king bed. However, the king is in a loft over the living room With no doors for privacy. The house states that it has a fully stocked kitchen equipped for cooking, but lacked updated cooking ware, and was quite dated. The layout is strange and crowded. We are a family of 6 and there was little walk space in the living room. There were very few towels and pillows, and the towels were ragged. The garage was completely iced over. The walkway was nearly unusable due to ice. Understandably it is winter, but the property has not been managed appropriately. We lost heat and hot water on our last 2 days. The property manager was very quick to respond, and did compensate us for the inconvenience. This property needs some major upkeep before being rented any further.

Nice place!

We enjoyed ourselves very much. The layout of the home is a little weird, but it works. The river behind the home is beautiful and, I would imagine, sounds great if you can sit outside on a nice day. If it's freezing cold outside, however, it is less of a benefit. The hot tub is great! The home is dog friendly, but there isn't much yard for a dog. If you rent the house for the pool table, you will be disappointed, as it is in very rough shape, as are the pool cues. If you don't normally play, it will be fine. The property manager was great at getting back to us quickly!

Spacious Home-y Comfort

We stayed at this property over the week of Thanksgiving with our 3 adult children, 11 year old, and 3 dogs! The house had plenty of space where we didn’t feel like we were always on top of each other. The hot tub and pool table were a favorite for everyone! We liked that it wasn’t overly “fancy” because we had pets, however some may think the furniture is little run down
couch, dinning table, etc. the beds were comfortable. The reason for the 4 stars is because there were lights/plugs that didn’t work and the driveway/walkway to the door slopes down toward the house, it was extremely snowy this year so it was a difficult walk. They did have someone come out a few times to blow the snow off of the parking pad and walkways but it was so compact underneath, it didn’t help too much. Overall, we would definitely stay here again, it had a beautiful view of the river. I can imagine late spring and summer would be amazing!

End of summer family trip

Property is somewhat dated and worn, but had more than enough room for our family. We enjoyed playing pool in the evenings and I could have just sat on the decks listening to the river for the entire trip. Beds were comfortable.

Nice summer getaway, we had 7 adults and 2 dogs. Great pet friendly stay! Be careful with young children no slats on the stairs going up to the loft bedroom. The bunk bedroom did not have a screen on the window and was a long drop to the ground. Plenty of towels and bedding were provided. Plenty of sleeping options with a loft with 2 sleeping areas and bathroom/ shower. (Wish there was a blind on the window in the loft bedroom, the sun in the morning was bright which reflected off the mirrored sliding closet doors and was blinding.). Main level had a full kitchen, dining room and living room with a full deck overlooking a river with a gas grill. (The grill was clean and worked great!). Off the living room was a bathroom and another small bedroom with twin bunkbeds. Lower level had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The main area had a couch and pool table and another refrigerator. There was a nice hot tub on the lower deck overlooking a river. (We did not get a chance to use the hot tub, but I did look at it and it was clean and warm.) There was a great walking trail near by and only 1/2 mile walk to town. Wish this property could accommodate at least 3 cars, but only allowed 2 vehicles. We had to park our 3rd car at the airport parking lot about 12 minutes away which allowed overnight parking. Total cost to park was $35. Overall a great place to stay.

Wonderful retreat

Property management was quick to respond and very helpful about questions and proactive communication. House was clean and organized and had amenities provided that lasted us through the entire trip. Plenty of room for everyone and beds were comfy. Very enjoyable and would recommend for anyone wanting some quiet but still being close to town!
