Excellent stay at Peterstone last night, comfy and welcoming rooms with glorious views and excellent food too. Special mention to the staff for being so great with catering for my husbandâs coeliac disease too - thank you!
Peterstone Court is a friendy, hospitable and comfortable place to stay. I cannot praise the staff and the food highly enough. Unfortunately, the facilities in the room I occupied left a lot to be desired. To start wtih, the layout of the room was inconvenient in that the bathroom and clothes storage were at ground level, while the excellent bed was upstairs! This was not at all convenient (or safe) at 2 o'clock in the morning for an 85 year old!
The bathroom was clean and fully equipped with bath etc. but badly lacking in safety aspects. The shower was over the bath, but there was no grab handle to assist with balance problems and no rubber mat to ensure no slippage. These factors ensured that I could not take a shower during the two days I was there.
A charming property with really attentive and friendly staff. The building itself is attractive with some old world quirk and fantastic Mountain views. The breakfast and dining options were really good - not too fancy but good quality and well cooked. Iâd recommend a stay here.
Picturesque views of the surrounding Brecon hills. The hotel has a nice bar, lounge and various dining areas all with traditionally styles with roaring fire places. Amazing service from all of the staff.
We had a lovely stay for a weekend at Peterstone Court.
The location, about mid-way between Talybont and Brecon, is fantastic for easy access to the hills as well as town. The hotel has ample free parking.
The room and service were top notch, with hearty breakfast options included and a decent quality (though not cheap) dinner available. We opted for one dinner at the hotel and another out in Brecon and will likely do the same on a future visit.
The hot-tub, sauna and gym were empty apart from ourselves in the evenings during our stay and made for a great relaxing break.
If I had to pick one thing that could be improved I'd say the spa area was a bit tired, but it won't stop me rebooking and using them again.
Well recommended to stay for special occasions.
Hotel and location absolutely stunning! The River Usk is a stones throw and the beautiful Monmouthshire and Brecon canal is an easy and scenic walk away. Service warm, friendly and helpful. Evening meal was outstanding too!
Fab in every way - staff, food, location, rooms, cleanliness, rooms, beautiful bedding, but there was a faulty heating pump which kept us awake until 2230 and started again at 0630. This was out of the ordinary however.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded on arrival for a two night stay. Beautiful views of the Brecon Beacons from a lovely room with two comfortable settees writing desk etc. We found the staff to be friendly and welcoming and this seemed to rub off on the guests making us all friendly too!
The only thing to improve our stay would have been had there been an indoor pool to go with the spa facilities
