Western Star at Rockin Star Ranch

If peace and solitude is what you’re looking for, you’ve found it! Located at the end of a secluded country road, Rockin’ Star Ranch is a luxurious getaway where time seems to stand still. RSR is about escaping urban life to re-connect with family, friends and all that nature has to offer. This VRBO listing is actually 1 of 10 different listings located on the ranch (sleeps 50+ adults) Western star can be booked under this listing or the entire ranch can be booked under its own Rockin Star ranch listing. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor bar, the pool, fish in our ponds, observe and maybe even feed the animals, explore our property, and tour our event venue. Our amenities include an outdoor kitchen, pool, large pastures, tire swings, courtyards, cabins, fishing ponds (catch and release), the woods, and a game room which is located in the garage of the main house. Game room has ping pong, darts, horse shoes, corn hole and a telescope! Interested in horseback riding? A hayride? Maybe want to experience a day in the life of a cowboy? My husband and I spent a week in Texas with Rockin' Star Ranch being our last, and by far, favorite spot! Darrell was very easy to communicate with prior to our arrival, as well as throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met and was always available to answer questions. We decided to book a horse riding outing for our final day, which is not something I was planning on doing, and Darrell was so gracious that when I told him I didn't have boots with me he found some for me to borrow! Now that is excellent service! Darrell's son, Dylan, took us out riding and showed us everything we needed to know as far as getting the horses prepared and how to handle them during the ride. As a first timer I was definitely anxious prior to starting, but Dylan put my mind at ease and I was able to enjoy it more than I expected.The facilities are great! The pool was so refreshing during the hot Texas summer weather. We were offered a tour of the property and encouraged to reach out if we needed anything. Darrell and his sons were so welcoming throughout our time at their ranch.There are so many animals to interact with: horses, goats, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, and the cutest little deer they rescued. As an animal lover, I was in heaven!They have a huge event center and it would make for a wonderful place to have a wedding.I would highly recommend Rockin' Star Ranch to everyone!

Great Family Getaway!

We had such a lovely couple of days at the Ranch. Our kids were so entertained by all the activities on the property. Great memories were made horseback riding, holding baby chicks, playing with the dogs, swimming in the pool, and making s'mores.

Great Get Away

Owner was easy to communicate with, the property was beautiful and set away from it all; but still 15-20 minutes from downtown Brenham. Kids were able to roam, check out the livestock, fish, and relax at the pool. Plenty of room to grill and cook, all while relaxing at the end of baseball tournament games. Will definitely be making a returning booking.

Relaxing getaway!

Very convenient to a wedding location we were attending but found a great place for future vacations! They even have a huge venue facility for weddings/parties. This working ranch is so much more than what we expected; pool, pond, outside kitchen and lounging area, pool table, ping pong, bikes, games. Host quickly responded to questions. This would be a great place for extended family get togethers or vacations.

Country Heaven

From the stars at night to the detail in each cabin you will truly feel like you belong in this slice of Heaven. The Host Darrell goes far beyond to make sure you have the best time. I highly recommend booking a horseback riding adventure with him too. He was so patient with our small kids and taught them everything from getting a horse ready, saddling, bathing and putting your horse back. Our room was very comfortable and had anything you needed to grill or relax with a glass of wine. The grounds have so much to explore and see but the best part is access to the animals and seeing them up close. We can’t wait to come back. Darrell has put his heart and soul into his ranch and you will feel that.

Would definitely come back! There's a great balance between having your own space and relaxing while also having plenty to do outside of the cabin on site. Very convenient to downtown Brenham, other activities, and restaurants. The host was very friendly and welcoming as well!

This ranch is amazing. One of the BEST trip ever!!!!

My friend and I booked our stay here to go antiquing and shopping at Round Top. It was one of the best experiences ever!!! Darrell is a wonderful host and we had everything we needed at our fingertips. The ranch is beautiful-complete with horses, longhorns, goats, chickens, a turkey and guineas. We had a lovely horse ride across the ranch one morning and it was just breathtaking. We had wonderful neighbors in the other cottages and enjoyed visiting with them all in the evenings. Thank you again for an unforgettable get away!!!

Best family getaway

Loved the ranch, so quiet and serene. The facilities were very comfortable and the host, Darrell was amazing from beginning to end. We enjoyed swimming, grilling, horseback riding, the game room, and more. Hitting up Rockin Star Ranch will definitely be a family tradition going forward.
