Lazy Days: mid-term private waterfront cottage at the lake
Lazy Days Lake House is your ideal lakefront destination
This completely renovated lakefront home offers plenty of space inside and out to relax and have fun with family & friends. Lazy Days Lake House is fully equipped with everything you need for a great getaway, including kayaks, fire pit, and gas grill. The house sits on Little Ore Lake (no wake) which opens to Big Ore Lake. Little Ore also connects to the Huron River which is perfect for kayaking. Located 15 minutes from the shops and restaurants in the beautiful downtowns of Brighton or Dexter.
Lazy Days Lake House is a remodeled 1,600 sq. ft. home with three bedrooms (two upstairs plus a master on the main floor), a bathroom, large kitchen/family room combo which opens into a dining/sunroom with a panoramic view of the lake. The laundry is on the first floor along with an electric fireplace, and complimentary internet/TV is provided.
Outside, you'll find 40ft of lakefront, and an L-shaped dock perfect for swimming or fishing. The large deck boasts a gas grill, large dining table, and Adirondack chairs for relaxing.
Ore lake and Little Ore Lake are both private so there is no public boat launch nor are outside boats of any kind allowed. We have five kayaks available for use by our guests which is a great way to spend time on the water! There is also great swimming off the dock in the crystal clear lake water.
There is limited off-street parking or there is room for two cars on our cement driveway.
Our house is in a typical lake community with friendly neighbors, and the best little neighborhood store within walking distance. There, you'll find made-to-go food (amazing pizza and the best fried chicken), a large liquor selection, and any of the basic necessities you may need while on vacation.
The house is 15 mins off Hwy 23, 10 mins from Mt. Brighton Ski Resort, and even closer to several golf courses. It's 45 mins from Detroit and 30 mins from Ann Arbor.

Avis pour Lazy Days: mid-term private waterfront cottage at the lake
We had a great time meeting our Canadian friends for a Friendsgiving. And the house was perfect for our trip. My daughter had a great time watching the swans.
This property offered all the amenities of home. It was a cozy place to stay while visiting our son that has moved to Michigan to pursue college while continuing a sport he loves..Hockey! The property could use an updated coffee maker, and sink facets. The beds were very comfortable.
There were some positives and some negatives,
House inside was accurate as pictured. It was fully stocked with supplies more than most VRBOs we have been to. Beds were comfy but after a day of traveling I didn't expect to have to make 2 of the 3 beds and put sheets on. Isn't this what the housekeeping fee is for? Outside was just ok considering on the lake, the yard was unusable to walk on without completely trashing your shoes. Not the best to walk out to have a fire or even get to the dock to fish or enjoy as it seems that it is constantly soaked from the overflow of the lake. Parking is just enough for 1 vehicle so if you have more than one vehicle I didn't see an option to park 2 cars. The bathroom and kitchen sink faucets need some looking into as they spray all over when used.
NOT THE OWNERSâ FAULT, but there had been a serious flooding of the lake - that did not affect the cottage or deck. We had difficulty making contact with the owners prior to the scheduled arrival day to confirm the status of the property. In the end there were issues with the waterfront which would not normally be the case. The owners generously refunded a portion of the rental payment. They provide 5 kayaks and a pedal boat which is a fabulous bonus. Inside the cottage, which is welcoming, charming and very well-equipped, youâll find absolutely everything you might need. We loved the big table in the porch area that looks out on the lake and seats 10. Not only did we eat there, but we played games and completed a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle. All 5 beds are extremely comfortable - we slept soundly every night. Air conditioning made the whole cottage comfortable during an extreme, humid heat wave. If youâre a golfer, there are several great courses close by. We played twice at Rush Lake Hills - inexpensive and a nice course. Under less challenging circumstances, I am confident this cottage experience would get a 5+ star review!
We loved our stay at this home because it felt just like thatâŠa home! It had everything we could have needed and more! But the view and the swans were my favoriteâŠthat and the kayaking!
Would stay here again in a minute!
My adult daughter and I stayed here while visiting family in the area. Wow, the view when you walk in is beautiful! Our stay was very comfortable with good beds and a well-appointed kitchen. It was peaceful and pastoral because of the quiet lake and neighborhood, swan family, geese, turtles and jumping fish to watch from the large deck. We loved it and would rent it again. I recommend it!
Our long weekend at Lazy Days Waterfront Cottage was amazing. The cottage was exactly as described. We were able to watch the swans in the lagoon. The neighborhood was very nice. The beds were very comfortable and the very thing was very clean. The area is great. It is close to restaurants and shopping.
This cottage was everything we had hoped for⊠and more! Charming space, beautiful setting, We felt right at home the minute we walked in! George and SHAR were the perfect hosts and had thought of everything we needed.
