Welcome to Mill Cottage Brighton, a lovingly restored 2-bedroom, two-story cottage located in the heart of Kemptown, Brighton. Built in the 1840s to house Georgian mill workers, this cottage carries a rich story. After suffering damage in the 1990 storm, the home was rebuilt in the mid-90s and beautifully renovated again in 2021, blending classic character with modern touches. Sleeping up to 4 guests, this holiday home across two floors is perfect for couples, families, or business travellers. The property offers free high-speed Wi-Fi, a dedicated workstation, and a cozy living space with a Smart TV and Apple TV—perfect for streaming your favourite platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Step outside to your private courtyard patio, perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Ideally located to Brighton Beach, Palace Pier, and The Lanes, this charming home provides easy access to cafĂ©s, restaurants, pubs, and independent shops.

DINING / LIVING AREA
The dining area comfortably seats four guests, making it a great space to gather and enjoy meals together. The adjoining bright and open living room is a welcoming spot to unwind, socialise, or enjoy a movie night on the Smart TV. With natural daylight pouring in and a spacious layout, you can stay indoors or step outside and extend your living space into the private courtyard, an ideal spot for a morning coffee or an evening drink.

KITCHEN
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay feel like home. It features a washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, and electric hob, along with ample cookware, glassware, crockery, and cutlery—perfect for preparing a relaxed brunch or dinner. We’ve also included complimentary tea, coffee, salt, and pepper, so you’re welcome to help yourself during your stay.

With linen and towels provided, everything is set for a seamless and stress-free stay


BEDROOMS
There are two bedrooms with a mix of sleeping arrangements to suit your needs, and plenty of fresh bed linen is provided for all beds.

Bedroom 1, double bed, sleeps 2 with a quiet and dedicated workspace, ideal for working remotely or catching up on tasks.
Bedroom 2, zip and link beds, set up as 2 singles but can be made into a double on request, sleeps 2

Our Guest Promise

We want you to arrive at a spotless home. If anything has been missed with the cleaning, please let us know straight away, and we will put it right as a priority. If we are unable to resolve it on the same business day, we will offer to move you to another property or refund you for the affected time!

Check-In

We’ll send your check-in instructions via email and SMS at 3 pm on your arrival day for check-in from 4 pm, once your damage deposit/waiver has been paid.

Damage Deposit

We work closely with our property owners to protect their homes and take damage deposits for all bookings. The day before check-in (or on the same day, if applicable), you’ll receive a 3D Secure link to select your preferred damage deposit option. The full deposit is simply pre-authorised on your card and released within 7 days of check-out if no breakages or damages are reported. Guests who prefer not to do a fully refundable damage deposit have the option of a one-off non-refundable damage waiver at a much lower cost.

Smoking

To keep our properties fresh and clean for all guests, smoking of any kind, leaving traces behind suggesting smoking of any kind, or vaping (including e-cigarettes), is not allowed indoors. Please smoke on the street or patio area, if available.

Noise

To help keep things peaceful for our neighbours, we kindly ask that noise be kept to a minimum between 10 pm and 8 am. We want you to have a great time. A little consideration goes a long way to making sure everyone can enjoy their evenings (and get a good night’s sleep!)
Not all properties can host hen, stag, or similar group celebrations. If you’re planning one, just drop us a message, and we’ll happily guide you to a property that can accommodate your group.
Please note that call-outs due to excessive noise or parties may incur a fee.

Check-Out

Check-out is by 11 am. Unauthorised late departures may incur a ÂŁ50 per hour fee.

Before You Leave and as a consideration to future guests, please:

Wash up the used dishes.
Bag rubbish and use the correct recycling bins.
Return keys to the key safe (OR) Keynest location.
Switch off the lights.
Close all windows.
Turn down the heating.
These steps help us prepare for the next guests and save energy; every little bit counts.

Age Policy

The lead guest must be 21 or over. We cannot accept bookings where the majority of guests are under this age. If unsure, please contact us before booking please.

A Quick Note on Deposits and Property Care

If any of the above guidelines aren’t followed, we may need to make deductions from your deposit to cover additional cleaning or damages. We hope that’s never necessary!
