Good location, take care crossing nearby streets

Good room layout and nice renovations, but the threshold for the bathroom is higher so watch out if you need to go to the bathroom in the middle is the night. Great location to the CBD; however, there is no crosswalk to head to transit stops, so take care crossing the streets downhill from the hotel. There are regular screeching noises from the trains passing nearby; however, we were still able to get rest at night.

The room was reasonably expensive, but not even a bottle of water in the room, let alone mini-bar or drinkable coffee. I felt like I was staying in a cheap chain hotel. In the morning I couldn't get any coffee or breakfast (the only offer was buffet!)

Restaurant dinner was poor quality. Had a steak ordered medium and received well done. Steak was about 8mm thin so not worth the price tag. Had Brussels sprouts for a side that were obviously re-heated and the bacon bits hard enough to crack a tooth on. Pepper sauce on the steak was thin and tasteless. Would not eat at the restaurant again. Breakfast buffet was over priced for what was on offer.

Convenient and comfortable.

The Amora is a conveniently located hotel. The service was friendly and competent. The tariff was reasonable for a capital city hotel. It is in walking distance to a number of good restaurants in the city.

The breakfast buffet is very good with a variety of delicious items. Close walking distance to Central Station, restaurants and shopping. The hotel staffing is very friendly. Eco friendly by offering a 10 dollar credit each day if you choose to decline maid service however they will clean waste cans in the room.
