The hotel is only OK. The rooms were freezing, heathers are in very state, and one room did not warm up. I requested an extra duvet/ blanket to reception. NEVER got it. Lights in room are very low, and not easy if you need to work before your meeting. In general, I would not recommend this OK hotel

L’emplacement est idĂ©al. L’hĂŽtel est trĂšs bien malgrĂ© que les chambres soient un peu petites par rapport au tarif. Le restaurant et les cocktails sont parfaits !

The AC in our room was broken and we were not informed of this until we got to our room. Once we realised this, we returned to the front desk and were informed we could switch rooms, but it would not be the same standard as the room we had booked and there was no guarantee the AC would work in another room. It gave the impression the staff weren’t all that interested. The compensation we received (£20 refund and 2 complimentary drinks) didn’t feel adequate.

Had a lovely stay at the Mecure Grand Hotel, staff were friendly and everything we needed was on the doorstep. The room was spacious for a twin room, bathroom was massive, definitely stay again

Generally I work in the hotel room during my stay. Unfortunately there was no desk in the room. I had to work with computer on the bed. I stayed here once before and had to rearrange the furniture to use a bedside table to work on. Not ideal

Good location for sight seeing.

Good location for the city and plenty of things to see and do. Parking on site to an extra fee of ÂŁ18 per night. Room clean and enough space, but nothing special. Soap and shampoo available. Bar next door busy and they ran out some items. Noise and drunkenness from outside, could not be heard from inside room. Nice view from window and air conditioning was needed!

Not a great experience

Initially arrived at the hotel before check in and greeted by a lovely friendly staff member who kindly allowed us to store our luggage , came back at check in to a less friendly staff member who checked us in and retrieved our luggage , checked in and found our room to have a broken fridge aswell as being rediculously hot (it was a hot summer day ) the windows don’t open fully for safety and the air con was not working , went down to reception again and joined a cue for about 15 minutes to speak to the man who checked us in , explained that we booked our room with the fridge and air con in mind and neither were working , he just informed me the entire hotels air con was broken and had been for some time before check in , no apologies or friendly mannerism to be seen, I asked again about the fridge and he bluntly said I would have to speak to his manager and told me to join the cue to speak to manager on the desk next to his. I cue again for about 10/15 mins and the manager is a breathe of fresh air , apologises and offers a room on the first floor in the hopes it is cooler , unfortunately this room is smaller but it is cooler and the fridge works , asked for a fan to be brought to our room and was told it will be brought asap , the fan however never turned up and I had to go down again and ask , also coffe machine was not working in this room but thankfully there was a kettle and some coffe sachets , however staff told me there was no more available

Receptionist and check in very helpful, good service. When we managed to get to sleep due to noisy neighbours found the mattress uncomfortable very worn could do with replacing. No complimentary water in the room which was a surprise considering the price.

Fun hotel

Fantastic breakfast, eclectic decor, and friendly staff. The walls are a bit thin due to the old building so you could hear guests talking next door sometimes but great that they had a lift and AC in the room. Centrally located and really pleased with this hotel!
