The room was pretty dirty and didnât feel like it had much of a clean before we arrived.
The shower was terrible, no water pressure if someone has had a shower before you, no space if youâre moderately tall, and no space width wise either. They didnât provide enough soap/shower gel for more than 1 day for 2 people.
The room was quite cold and we couldnât figure out the heating.
The staff replied quick and check in was simple however the last night an alarm was going off from the hours of 3.30 am / 04.00 am onwards.
This is very much a budget stay and you get what you pay for. The location was great and what brings this up a star from 2.
Apartment was suitable for one night however bed was a bit small for two adults, shower cubicle was too small as my 6ft 3 partner couldnât shower without bending his neck and I had trouble moving around in the cubicle because of the size. But very clean and very good communication.
The room was quiet and with the exception of chewing gum stuck to the wall beside the bed it was clean. The shower and spotlessly clean towels were designed for a 5 year old. The television was not working fortunately we were out most of the time. It would have been helpful to have a folder with information on Bristol as the only pamphlet was on public transport which was out of date. Also folding table and chairs would have been helpful. The map made into wallpaper was a superb idea.
When first walked in the hallway of the building there was an obvious smell of damp. When entered into the apartment, it was immediately noticeable that the property has not been well maintained, for instance, the wall was cracked next to the light switch by the front door, a hole in the wall where a previous resident had punched it, burn marks on the inside of the microwave, the heated towel rail not working, which meant that the towels could not be dried, the shower holder was broken and was unable to change the height of it, the bathroom tap was leaking, which has meant that a build up of bacteria is evident at the base of the tap, etc....
Cleanliness was also a major issue, the blanket and cushions had marks on them (likely food), some areas (side of the bed) had clearly not been cleaned for months (dust, hairs, even old remnants of food was visible), the bathroom was not much better the area around the shower head was filthy (brown marks at the shower head rail, really did not want to know what that residue was), there was mould in various areas all culminating with the impression that the bathroom had not been fully cleaned in months.
The worst part was the bed, the mattress is clearly in need of replacing, the springs stuck into us whilst lying down, which made it extremely difficult to sleep and also left our backs sore after the duration of or stay.
Slight false advertising as the Smart television is not able to connect to the wifi.
