I loved the rooms and restaurant, staff were lovely. The only reason for the 3 stars is the location. The beautiful old building is right under Bristol airport flight path. From 6am, every 5 minutes, a plane flew overhead. Very early start to my day.

Congresbury hotel

With great bus links nearby to bristol and western super mare,this hotel had friendly staff,comfortable rooms,and served good food,we had an enjoyable two nights stay.

Great for stopover location Nice beer garden and excellent outside bar Nice evening walk can be had by the park and river. Comfortable room and service was excellent Food is ok. Road noise is fine if windows are shut Would return if was in the area.

Highly recommended

Really great welcome. Lots of little touches to make your stay more special like biscuits, bottled sparkling water and snacks along with quality tea and coffee. Very clean and lovely big, fluffy towels. Breakfast was exceptional. Great choice with excellent service.

Great one night stay - would recommend

Great one night stay. Room was comfortable and well equipped, staff were friendly, efficient and polite. Good food in the restaurant for dinner which was reasonably priced and generous, and breakfast was beautifully presented and plentiful. We’d happily return if in the area again!

Good stop over

Staff very friendly. Most of our food was good. What needs pointing out is the restaurant times for dinner, as we booked for 7pm, and when I rang to say we could be later, due to work commitments, I was told they stopped taking food orders at 7.45. Some updating needed at this hotel, in the rooms, But we would definitely stay again. 😊

Very clean and comfortable

We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. The building is about 400 years old so it did creek and shake a bit when heavy vehicles went by, but that was mainly during the day, we were not disturbed at all during the night. It was very clean and the breakfast was delicious and they didn't mind adapting to special requests. We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent and easy check in, evening meal was very nice and competitively priced. The Estrella was served at the perfect temperature 👍 the room was lovely and clean and the jelly babies were a fantastic treat 👍 only gripe was I couldn’t regulate the radiator which was on all night - the sash window came to the rescue and a cool breeze was present all night. The gentleman who checked me in and showed me to my room was very polite and courteous. Didn’t have breakfast as I left early but will definitely stay again when in the area

Great service and good value

Booked last minute and thought good value. They called us to ask if we need a meal which was excellent service. Overall well done and my only gripe was the mattress was well worn which resulted in a poorer night.
