Movie Gallery Suite at the Calhoun House Inn & Suites
This one bedroom, one bath family-size suite features modern amenities and a remarkable view of downtown Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountains.
This four-room suite is decorated in an old Hollywood theme with old cameras & projectors, pictures of old movie stars and old movie posters.
This suite is located on the top floor of the main Calhoun House, giving it a beautiful Mountain View, and is easily accessed, without climbing stairs, by parking in the designated parking spaces at the back of the house. It has a private entrance off the spacious covered porch. With 2500 square feet of covered porches the Calhoun House offers our guests plenty of space to sit, relax and rock in one of our many rocking chairs and enjoy the quiet serenity and view of the Great Smoky Mountains.
This suite has vintage heartpine flooring that was originally installed in 1920 and carefully refinished in 2007 after being covered with 3 layers of carpet, 2 layers of linoleum and a 1947 newspaper.

The place was very clean. The owner was very on point and nice. You donât normally find your refrigerator stocked with water and drinks and pastries. They Evan had packs of oatmeal and snacks all at no extra charge. The owner went over and above to please their guests. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Bryson city area.
We were very excited to stay here because of the beautiful outside pictures. Upon arrival we almost immediately left. Up grown with weeds, hotel needing repairs, several dogs in fenced area. Pulled around to parking and owner came out upset because e have a service dog, said he was unaware and not allowed! I explained I contacted him but he wasnât listening and showed husband room and okayed it. Unit bathroom needs tlc and shower is combined with a very deep tub I could hardly step in that needs cleaned. Also, he charged a pet fee which I asked if he wanted a copy of my dogs papers n he didnât respond. I also, screenshot and sent a picture following when I made the reservation. Legally he cannot charge us for the service dog. Area to the hotel is very rundown and eerie. Very disappointing because the downtown is very enjoyable.
Stayed 2 nights in the Movie Gallery Suite. It was perfect. Ed greeted us upon our arrival, and filled us in about everything about Bryson City and the Inn.We appreciated the snacks and goodies awaiting us We highly recommend this place!
