Sweet Retreat is a two bedroom, one bath cottage located in the Bryson Village community. This lovely creekside home features a nice deck with hot tub, and indoor/outdoor dining,

Bryson Village is a premier vacation rental community located in Bryson City and right outside of the heart of downtown Bryson City. With the Historic Bryson House as it's centrally located property and an additional fifteen vacation rentals, the community all together can accommodate up to 78 guests. Each rental is lovingly equipped with every modern touch you need - flatscreen tv with Direct TV service in every living room and bedroom, gas log fireplace in the living areas, fully stocked kitchens with granite counter tops and stainless appliances, indoor and outdoor dining spaces in every home, full laundry in every home, nice decks on each property with gas grill and hot tubs, high speed wireless internet access, comfortable furnishings, and tastful decor. Bryson Village's location cannot be beat. Located right outside of downtown Bryson City, but within the city limits, Bryson City's amenities are right there to enjoy. There are several local restaurants to try, along with craft breweries and boutique/local shops. You of course can also take a ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, which is famous for the Polar Express ride and the Great Pumpkin Patch Express. If you're interested in more outdoor entertainment, you can take a ride over to the Deep Creek entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and enjoy the hiking trails, waterfalls, fishing, tubing, bike riding, or picnic areas. If you're looking to learn more about the area's deep roots and cultural history, take a 15 minute ride over to the Cherokee Reservation and check out the Museum of the Cherokee Indian, Unto These Hills drama, campfire tales in the summer time, the Oconoluftee Village, and the Pioneer Village. If you're looking for nightlife, you can also check out Harrah's Cherokee Casino. For adrenaline pumping outdoor adventure, make sure to check out the Nantahala Gorge area which is known for it's whitewater rafting, kayaking, zip line canopy tours, horseback riding, and hiking.

Family was in town for the Polar Express train ride. This property was within walking distance to the train station and Everett St., where all of the little shops and restaurants are. We enjoyed the close proximity to all the local attractions.

Great Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The space was super convenient to downtown Bryson. The hot tub was great to relax in each night. We will be back!

Sweet Retreat for family with dogs

We found the accomodations just to our liking. We were all warm & cozy & went on driving & hiking excurions during the day in & around the smokies. We relaxed @ fixed ourselves yummy meals & also enjoyed a couple of local restaurants. We all had an exceptional stay @ Sweet Retreat!

Mid July summer week stay

Minor cons: back deck, deck table + chairs could have been wiped down/debris blown off before our arrival; Directv was not working a couple of nights (but we watched Netflix); no space/rooms for 2 people to work remotely if need be; although it allowed pets, 1/2 the (July) daytime hours the outside gravel driveway was in the direct sun and way too hot (hotter than concrete) for dogs' feet with no way to exit the house without walking across it; and the houses/cabins in "The Village" are a bit too close together for our taste where this house sits e.g. < 10 ' between homes, but all cabins are in good shape/well kept.
