A lovely stylish cottage situated over 2 floors in the beautiful historic Devon village of East Budleigh, the birth place of Sir Walter Raleigh. With easy access to Woodbury Common and the local seaside towns of Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth and Exmouth this popular cottage provides an idyllic home from home for 4 people, with provision for infants and well-behaved pets.

Providing a contemporary, stylish and self contained home from home. Jasmine Cottage provides the most excellent location for visiting all that the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has to offer; coastal walks and inland treks, cycling, city shopping, local heritage exploration and so much more... Bicton Arena, Crealy Adventure park, Bicton Park and the seaside Towns of Sidmouth, Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton are very close by too.

The space
Enjoying a quiet and tucked away location in the centre of the historic country village of East Budleigh in East Devon, this newly refurbished holiday cottage provides premier self catering accommodation for families or groups of up to 4-5 people with an emphasis on comfort, taste, space and light. Outside seating allows you to enjoy the birdsong in the sheltered sunny garden. High chair, stair gate and quality travel cot can be supplied as required (The third single bed is a moveable z bed. Both it and the cot and high chair are placed in Jasmine as required)
By the the famous pebble beach of Budleigh Salterton and extensive sandy beach at Exmouth, there is never a shortage of places to explore and moments to be enjoyed. The village itself enjoys its own tennis court, and outdoor table tennis table, only a 3 minute walk away. The newly refurbished children's play park will provide endless fun for the under 6's. Within 3km there are 2 outstanding 18 hole golf courses, East Devon, and Woodbury Park (where there is also a lovely spa and swimming pool). Bike hire is available in the nearby town of Budleigh Salterton, and many beautiful walks from the cottage to the coastal path and Woodbury Common. Never a shortage of things to do and explore in one of the most beautiful parts of Devon.

Guest access
The entire house, yard and garden plus a private parking space in the courtyard solely for the use of the cottage guests. A small village car park only 30 seconds away for additional visitors. The famous Sir Walter Raleigh Pub in East Budleigh Village Centre is just a 2 minute walk away, along with a well-stocked community shop offering an extensive range of local produce.

Other things to note
The village boasts an excellent 'real ale' pub, The 'Sir Walter Raleigh', with good food and decent wine too! The local tennis court is available for hire and the outdoor village table tennis table is available free of charge. The excellent, community run, local village shop is open every day. There is a well equipped play park in the village too which has recently been updated, as well as streams and fields and farms...everything you would expect to find in an idyllic Devon village. Buses fun through the willage between Exmouth and Sidmouth giving further access to the area from those larger towns.

Perfect!

We immediately felt at home in this lovingly furnished vacation home. Not only was it very clean, but it also had everything we needed. The kitchen in particular is fully equipped, and we didn't miss a thing. Angela gave us a very warm welcome and we found a wonderful welcome package waiting for us.Finally, it should be noted that the location of the village is perfect: quiet, with a wonderful pub just around the corner, a village shop within walking distance, fantastic scenery, and towns within easy reach.In short: perfect; we felt very comfortable there and had a great time! Jasmine Cottage

Absolutely fantastic. The cottage was equipped with everything you could wish for. The village was beautiful and the people so friendly. We had a few good nights in the Sir Walter Raleigh, its just a pity we couldn't make more of the cider festival as it was our last day! Fabulous Cottage and Village

We really enjoyed our week in the cottage and didn't want to come home! It had everything we needed for a home-from-home experience, and the welcome pack was wonderful, especially the local apple juice, which we bought two more bottles of during the week. East Budleigh itself is a lovely village, with a community pub and community shop, and everyone was very friendly. We visited Bicton Gardens, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Sidmouth, the South Devon Railway, Totnes and Buckfast Abbey during the week, most of which were a short drive away!

Hidden Gem in the Heart of East Budleigh

Jasmine Cottage is a lovely cottage in the heart of the village of East Budleigh. Situated off the main street it is quiet and secluded. The cottage itself is clean and modern with all that is required for a quiet gettaway. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The village has a lovely community atmosphere, the meals at the community run pub the Sir Walter Raleigh are highly recommended. This is a great location for exploring the area around coast or just a quiet retreat. Would certainly stay again if the opportunity came around.

Great 5-night stay

Lovely clean, comfortable and spacious cottage set in a beautiful peaceful village. Host Angela introduced herself not long after we arrived and just left us relaxed to enjoy ourselves, and we certainly did. Excellent village community-run pub, the nearby friendly/cosy Sir Walter Raleigh where we had 2 good meals over 4 evenings in there. So much to do and see in the area and we were lucky with unseasonally hot/dry weather. I have no doubt we will return in the near future.

Secluded cottage

Lovely small well kept and equipped cottage in a quiet village in a good location only 10 minutes away from Budleigh Salterton beach and 20 from Exmouth. Good hosts with good communication. The garden was good for the dogs although it is not fully enclosed so you need to keep an eye on them.

GemĂŒtliches, sauberes Ferienhaus, mit praktischer, sehr gut ausgestatteter KĂŒche. Das HĂ€uschen liegt in einem ruhigen beschaulichen Dorf (East Budleigh, Ortsteil vom schönen Seebad Budleigh Salterton; gute Anbindung an den lokalen Nahverkehr durch den Bus Richtung Exmouth via Budleigh Salterton); im Dorf vorhanden sind ein kleiner Lebensmittel- Laden (community shop, sehr freundlicher Service durch Volunteers) und ein netter gemĂŒtlicher Pub/ Restaurant (community pub). Wunderbar, landschaftlich neu gestalteter Fußweg zur KĂŒste, ca. 4 km. Sehr freundliche, jederzeit hilfsbereite Vermieter; sie hießen uns willkommen mit einem großzĂŒgigen Welcome Pack (GetrĂ€nke und Lebensmittel aus der Region).

Perfect Property

This stay was perfect from start to finish, booking easy, communication from Angela was fabulous and speedy at all times. The property is exactly as photos, spotlessly clean and cosy - everything you need for a break. The location is quiet and quaint, tucked away off main road into village ( which is idyllic & peaceful ) with a community run busy and friendly pub 2 mins from door. The bus stop is 5 mins away and I caught buses with my little dog to Exmouth, Sidmouth, budleigh salterton easily. So this cottage was a great base as well 
.I loved you had parking outside for unpacking and could see the car 
.the rear garden is private and pretty with table and chairs 
.I am a clean freak and cottage was so clean everywhere which was brilliant 
.there was a welcome pack on arrival , what can I say !! a beautiful touch, everything you need! And I devoured a scone, cream & jam on arrival with a cuppa! I loved this cottage and will be back definitely - thank you Angela

Lovely House

We enjoyed our stay in East Budleigh. Lovely house in a beautiful & quiet village. We had a problem with the boiler which, our host Angela tried to get fixed during our weekend stay. This was not a major issue though and, did not spoil our stay. Would fully recommend this property.
