Borges Place: Top Buenos Aires Location? Yes, But...

PROS.1.Borges Place is situated in a prime, tranquil location 3.Design: single-space studio. Stylish, minimalist aesthetics. 4.Work/office space: tiny; you may use the kitchen table 5.Internet connection: strong. CONS 1.Communication: it took time until Oasis responded to my first inquiries. Then texting was via Whatsapp, too impersonal and inefficient. All issues required “proof” (photos taken/uploaded on WhatsApp and subject to “I will show it to my local team and let you know” basis) 2.Air-conditioning: the apartment has NO central heating (an issue during winter.The air-conditioner, old, NOISY, and ill-maintained was serviced when I complained I couldn't sleep.Technicians came, cleaned it for the 1st time(?) evidence-photos were sent (I supervised), concluded the aircon needed replacement. Still pending 3. Maintenance:The price did NOT include acleaning fee. Oasis asked 20 US$ extra and I paraphrase Vrbo on this “grey” area: "no clearcut policy; speak w/ Oasis, we wash our hands off this deal.” 4. Insulation: street noise levels are OK but in-building noises are a nuisance. One locked door separates your bed from the elevator shaft and corridor. Insulation is a BIG must. 5. Accountability: The mini-fridge of the apartment had from day-one shelf missing,freezer door broken and shelf cracked and glued. Just after checkout an email from Oasis demanded I pay for damages incurred.I sent several messages/emails defending my innocence. Now is this a vacation or a court hearing?
