Room too small. Would like at least one chair in the room. Bathroom door does not close. No hangers in the room.
Overpriced.
Apart from superb staff, everything else not to expectation

Lady at reception demanded credit card and took it out of sight to do whatever with. Don't think she skimmed it but who knows. Put us in possibly the worst room - at the start of the corridor with literally everyone walking past. Door was a glass windowed door that had white paint over it that allowed in light. Very gauzy curtains. Crash and bash of glass bottles into the recycling bin happened till at least 1130pm. People walking back to their rooms were trying to be quiet but still woke us up. Not recommended unless you ask for a room at the back of the corridor, (say room 57). We were in room 45. No fan and very simple but relatively clean otherwise.

Whilst we appreciate some of your commentary is accurate, we are disappointed about your presumption that our staff would skim your card details, the sentiment alone is defamatory. Unfortunately, the card you provided via the secure portal when booking online was invalid and the charges declined so we had no other option but to ask you again for details. The room booked was one of our entry level rooms with shared bathroom facilities and the price paid was a reflection of the room. We have taken on board your feedback regarding the recycling and will share that with the bar team onsite. We have fans available upon requests for our guests, along with irons, ironing boards, hairdryers and other such items.

There was long black hair over the bathroom floor. I have short white hair.
There were cobwebs and a large black spider around the window.
No teaspoons to stir sugar in tea or coffee

Bathroom not in good condition. Plumbing issues caused bad smell in bathroom and bedroom. Bedroom was clean and beds comfortable. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Management moved us to the cottage as the room given to us was not as booked or described. The cottage was great in all respects.

Beautiful place to stay and experience
Posted Jan. 31, 2024 on HotelsA marvellous hotel that feels like a little piece of England. The restaurant needs to get a special mention. The steaks were excellent, and the waiting staff while young, all had an excellent attitude and worked hard.

Great period hotel high ornate ceilings, options of outdoor dining, beautiful layout, beer gardens, great vibes for family and friends. Close to translation, convenient locations.
