The check in staff had already checked us in as they had misheard the name of the guest checking in before us. At the bar I was asked To pay the bill before even being served our drinks (no option to add to the room). The room was clean and comfortable albeit a little tatty and would benefit from a freshen up.

Certain things unavailable for breakfast but overall very nice and the coffee from the machine was great. Clean room. Great bathroom and they gave us a room specifically with a bath which was lovely of them. Lovely grounds and very good parking which is free. 20 minute walk to town. I’d definitely stay again.

Convenient location and easy access, room comfortable and clean. Reception changed our rooms to ground floor on request at arrival, as allocated rooms were not easily accessed, lots of stairs up and down and corridors. Breakfast ok on Saturday but not very hot, tea and coffee machine dispensing very weak and tasteless coffee and tea. Parking good, but quite along waln to reception.

Money grabbers, do not stay

Arrived around 3pm, asked if room was ready, the receptionist said yes but it will be £10 extra for early check in, how rude, so we had to wait in the car park for a hour to get our key, will never stay hear again. We couldn’t even go in the bar and wait as there was a private funeral in there
