Great place to stay in Callander
Posted Aug. 27, 2020 on HotelsWe really enjoyed our short stay in the family suite at Crags Hotel. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Large, comfortable, quiet rooms and lovely bathroom. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Breakfast let down due to not being offered toast when order taken and when we asked for toast it appeared to be
an issue although we did receive it

Posted Sep. 17, 2019 on HotelsTruly a great experience. Nice room, great little bar and restaurant, and wonderful super service. Perfect location in downtown Callander. A picture perfect small Scottish village with fantastic outdoor activities. In all fairness the bar was a bit noisy until around midnight and did effect our sleep on a Saturday night. Sunday night was not a problem at all. Breakfast was excellent with outstanding service. Hope to return to Callander soon and and to The Crags Hotel!

Sleepless in Callandar!
Posted Feb. 11, 2019 on HotelsWe enjoyed the breakfast and Fiona and her staff were really friendly and our room was a good size and was clean. The downside was the room had no views and unfortunately we had two sleepless / restless nights due to the very uncomfortable mattress and pillows along with really loud squeaky floor boards from the next door room!! There is a small busy bar at the front of the building which had a lovely fire but, the furnishings in there were very basic and there was' nt enough seats to go around.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. Unfortunately we weren't able to rectify your sleeping issues as you only told Fiona when you were leaving. Our mattresses are specifically tailored for hotels and as you'll see from our countless reviews mentioning how comfortable the beds are, I think this may be down to specific taste or type of mattress preferred. I have one of these mattresses in my own home and sleep like a log. Our pillows are also tailored for hotels but we could have tried to find you alternatives, had you mentioned at the time, as opposed to when you were leaving. Unfortunately we can't try to fix things we aren't aware of until your stay has come to an end. Personally if I had one sleepless night, I would have asked to speak to management to prevent this happening for the second evening. Our bar is yet to be renovated/remodelled but we do receive a lot of positive feedback on how cosy and welcoming it is. As you'll have seen for yourself, it is very small so there is no room for more seating, people are happy to stand which is why it gets so busy. We also don't advertise having any views from our rooms, as we are located on the busy Main Street in Callander, not out in the countryside, all of this is specified at time of booking.

Posted Sep. 20, 2018 on HotelsWelcoming check in with a stylish and tasteful room. Hotel is perfectly located for exploring the village and nearby walks. Breakfast was delicious and well stocked breakfast bar. Would definitely go back!!
