A little piece of heaven, Polmear Barn is a magnificent, detached holiday property with stunning views. It is just a few miles from some of the West Country’s prettiest coastline with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks. Adjacent to the owners’ home, it is lovingly converted and retains a huge amount of character whilst offering a stylish setting for family and friends to escape from it all. The interior is spacious with great attention to detail to make for a wonderful welcoming experience. Large French doors lead from both the living room and kitchen/dining-room out onto a sunny patio and pretty gardens, the perfect spot for al-fresco dining and summer barbecues. In winter the house is really cosy with the benefit of underfloor heating throughout and the charm of a fabulous wood-burning stove to add to the ambience. The pretty town of Camelford is just a 1-mile walk, where a pub, selection of takeaways, shops and of course freshly baked Cornish pasties can be found. The famous 18-hole Bowood Park golf course, regarded as one of the south west’s premier parkland courses, is nearby, as is Camelford Leisure Centre offering a 20m indoor swimming pool and fitness Studio. The start of the exquisite Camel Trail can be found at Wenford Bridge (10 minute drive). The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock are also a must to visit and mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is just 15 minutes’ drive. For a great day out Camel Creek Family Theme Park, the famous Eden Project, and the wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin moors are all within easy driving distance. Whether surfing, walking the coastal path, cycling, playing golf, fishing or simply relaxing, this stunning location has something for everyone. Shops and pub 1 mile.

Polmear Barn was an outstanding place with the WOW factor in terms of the accommodation, views and setting and hospitality from the owners. I've been staying in cottages for over 20 years, and I think this was the best all round trip I've ever had. The property is stunning, comfortable and well equipped and set amidst stunning views and grounds. All of the rooms were spacious and comfortable (only 1 was a little on the small side with bunk beds, but still fine). The local village is as you would expect, small with limited amenities but perfectly pleasant and around a a 10 min walk. I would not hesitate recommending this place. We loved everything about it.

Home from home ! Just came back from a wonderful stay at Polmear Barn.We were a party of 12 and a dog. Great location for exploring Cornwall but best of all was knowing that we were finishing the day back at the barn.Walking the dog around the fields and seeing her play in the stream at the property were a highlight of the week.We cooked a full roast on the Sunday and the kitchen was well equipped to cater for a meal for 12.Although we were a large party, there is so much space and seating you never felt cramped.A well thought out and cared for property.Thank you for a great stay. We had a fabulous week staying at Polmear Barn.

We had a fabulous week staying at Polmear Barn. The property was spacious and very clean with six bedrooms and four bathrooms. The kitchen area was large with plenty of crockery, pots and pans etc. for ten people. It had a large garden area suitable for outdoor games. Polmear Barn is within easy driving distance of Bude, Newquay and Padstow and many other coastal villages. The hosts lived next door and welcomed us with cake. They were on hand if needed but did not intrude. We would definitely recommend Polmear Barn and would be extremely happy to stay there again.

A wonderful barn conversion, overlooking rolling countryside; it is beautifully furnished, with lovely bedrooms and bathrooms and a large utility room with washing and drying facilities. The lounge is very roomy with plenty of seating. It is set in a well fenced garden which is large and very safe for children. The patio area has two large tables and a BBQ. All in all a beautiful and well presented barn.
