Gleason's Chouse
You'll love staying in our unique home, in a quiet neighborhood. This is a recently remodeled 1867 church converted to a "Chouse". Featuring 2 bedrooms, Full Kitchen, 1 Bathroom, Balcony, Parking, and a Gazebo.. all beautifully complimented by a range of antiques and decorations. 8 Miles East of Hwy 41, a 45 min drive to Oshkosh or an hour to Milwaukee. Just down the road from Lake Bernice & Eisenbahn Bike Trail. Also close enough to the Kettle Moraine Forest to hike and sightsee!
We had my husbands class reunion and donât care to drive back to Montello. Lived in Campbellsport for 47 years so we know the area. A very nice place to stay!
Had another wonderful stay at the clouse. Owners had it well stocked and updated furniture since my last stay. Due to the central location we were able to visit lake Michigan and Winnebago areas as well as horicon marsh area.
This was by far the most unique setting of any we have enjoyed! So much care and thought was put into the decor. Anything a person might have needed for food prep or personal care was provided. The downstairs bed, where we slept, was so comfy.
The house was such a unique and fun place to stay, we had such a great weekend and experience there. My spouse is already talking about coming back someday soon. The neighborhood felt safe and it was easy to get around to any place we needed to. It was clean and stocked with extra amenities that anyone might need on a trip.
Looking to unwind & relax from the daily demands of being moms & wives, a friend and I chose Gleason's Chouse for its central location to all the local hiking! We were pleasantly surprised by the charm and detail put into the house. It was comfortable and inviting! Would definitely stay again!
This âchouseâ is so unique! Lovingly restored and beautifully decorated.
Exceptional cleanliness and care for the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. We look forward to returning!
Every detail was a pleasure to view. Historical photographs. Just adorable decorations. Cean Comfy and inviting. Definitely a destination that we would revisit
The rental was advertised as a "chouse." I didn't know what a chouse was other than a former church. The photos understated the property. To me, it really was a wonderful combination of historical church, updated into modern living room/kitchen/bedrooms and museum.
