🥇 Renovated 2BR Condo, Pool, 3 Hot Tubs, Pets ok!

This oversized two-bedroom unit is significantly larger than other typical 2BR units at the Lodges. It is located in the Grizzly building, the newest at the complex. This is our personal unit; we often use it for our family. You will find it well equipped and maintained to a high standard. It has been fully renovated with lots of nice upgrades.

SWIMMING POOL & HOT TUB
There is a large outdoor heated Swimming Pool, there is a change room in the pool area. There are also 3 hot tubs at the complex. Closest one (and our favourite) is located one flight of stairs down. There is also a small gym in the complex. Pool towels are provided.

IN THE UNIT
Open space kitchen, with stainless steel appliances. Dual door fringe with a bottom freezer, very quiet dishwasher, glass stove top, electric oven. Well equipped kitchen with a drip coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender, rice maker, and even a waffle maker. Granite counters and a breakfast counter.

Living room has a comfy couch, the oversized lunge chair is our favourite. There is a table with dining for six. From the living room, you can walk out to a cozy balcony with natural gas BBQ, table, and chairs. There is a partial mountain view from the balcony (see photos).

The unit has two bedrooms, master bedroom (1x king size) with a second TV and a full en-suite bath. The guest bedroom has 2x TwinXL beds, you are welcome to slide them together to form king size. Adjacent to the guest bedroom there is a full bathroom in the hallway. A small study desk with a portable printer is provided as well. If you have more guests, there is a fold out couch (1x queen size) in the living room. Both bathrooms have a tub, shower, and heated floors.

FOR YOUR COMFORT
In the winter, there is a cozy gas fireplace. Our unit has its own independent heating system, living room and each bedroom has its own thermostat and portable humidifiers.

In the summer, if it gets hot opening a window or patio door can cool the space while letting in fresh, mountain air. There are a couple of column fans for your use, and a portable AC unit as well.

Linens and towels are provided. A ski locker is available free of charge. There are bike racks in the heated parkade. We can provide a portable crib on request.

PETS
Paws are welcome with prior notice when included on the booking. There are plenty of dog paths, pet friendly parks, even a dog friendly coffee place nearby.

PARKING
There is a large, heated parkade beneath the lodge. Access is restricted by card access so there is a good number of spaces available. You take the elevator to the 3rd floor, and there are luggage carts there.

4 Days in Banff

Katherine’s place is practically perfect in every way. The place is more like a home than a rental property with thoughtful touches every where. The location is great, you can be on the freeway to points in Banff in a few minutes. The kitchen is modern with all of the necessary conveniences. We made breakfast every morning but that was our only meal as we were away from Canmore for the balance of every day. The appliances are all new and top notch including the best washer and dryer I have ever seen in a VRBO. We appreciated that while the common areas had hardwood floors the bedrooms were carpeted. Love that when you put your feet down out of bed they don’t hit a cold floor. The parking area is a little tight to get into but heated and plenty of room to maneuver. We appreciated the covered parking with the rain in Canmore this week. We would highly recommend staying with Katherine. As mentioned, they have though if everything!

Great Home Base to Banff!

Overall this was a great home base to venture off into other locations and sites. The facility was nice and clean. The space was big enough for our family. Only downside is that we could hear the family directly above the unit and had to notify the front desk every night because the quiet hours were 10pm until 7am, and they would be partying well during into those hours. However, the front desk would take care of it and contact them to ask them to quiet down.

Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed a family getaway in the beautiful mountain town of Canmore Alberta. Our renovated 2 bedroom condo at The Lodges with partial mountain views was the oerfect setting for our stay. After each day of exploring the area we relaxed in 1 of 3 outdoor hottubs located just around the corner from our condo.
