The breakfast was fabulous with it freshly cooked and served when you came for choice out of two allocated times for breakfast giving it a personal touch. We loved the old style house not a cookie cutter hotel in regards to service and breakfast...very comfortable but I love those older homes anyway. The staff were present, pleasant and helpful. It was quiet and comfortable. We will return.

Our room needed some maintenance. The baseboards were visibly dirty in the bathroom. There was mould growing in the shower and the wall adjacent to the shower and mould in the window frames. The ventilation in the room was very stuffy so we did open the window multiple times during the -26 weather. Toiletries were also limited and towels were only changed once within a three night stay. There was also damage on the walls from the furniture that needed to be repaired. The hot tub was excellent, however it was cooler than expected. We didn’t mind wearing the flip-flops provided for inside the facility, but there was multiple times when there weren’t any available. Staff was friendly and professional. Payment was requested upfront before our stay which seemed unusual to us. There was a beautiful fireplace in the front room where you could sit and enjoy it however, it was only lit once, the morning we were leaving, and there was no space available due to a large family occupying that room.

They advertise breakfast to order. But the egg bites served the first day were obviously cooked off first thing in the morning. Pancakes was the day breakfast. Nice enough and fresh for sure. Second morning breakfast was more typical bacon and eggs which was done to order though I’d say again the bacon was cooked off earlier. Smoothies were a nice touch as well as the yogurt on second day. I expect more for $300.00 / night at an inn./ B&B The hot tub wasn’t even 100 degrees so warm bath. Nice deck though.

This was our third time at The Lady MacDonald Inn. The first 2 stays were really good. This time, when we arrived 20 minutes before the check in time, the front door was locked. We tried calling the number they have posted on the door and got the voice mail, finally we tried calling the number on Google. If they knew guests were going to check in why was the front door locked? Then not even an apology, the front desk lady looked annoyed. Secondly our bed this time was really uncomfortable, the mattress was bent at the center, so we didn't have a good sleep. I love the hotel location, but may try a different place next time.

Staying at Lady Mcdonald is like going back to grandmas house . Quite , smells delicious , very comfortable and clean . This is a great place to relax with a cup of tea . Grooovy hot tub , saunna ... a must stay . Always a treat
