Lovely scenery, clean large house, and very communicative and clear directions before and during the stay. Easy check out and in, and the house is well stocked with TVs, a full kitchen with supplies, and a spacious hot tub. A bunch of tired moms taking the weekend off from parenting had a very relaxing weekend away from it all in a corner around the lake!

This place was perfect for our family holiday get together. We had fun & enjoyed the views. We all koved the great options for activities while staying together in the home. We wanted a place with a hot tub m, a view, and fun activities for all. This was it. Great communication from the host too.

The house description was accurate. However, the pictures made it look like there was access to the lake. There is none. One of the signs said to follow the game trail for access to the lake but it was overrun with bushes. The garage had a huge dead cockroach and a lizard. A lot of the windowsills and around the table bench was covered in dead fruit flies. The knife holder was covered in dust. The table by the hot tub you could tell had not been cleaned in awhile. It was covered in spiderwebs. We tried to eat outside but were immediately surrounded by hornets. Everyone was comfortable in their rooms but the management needs to reach out to their cleaners.

We truly appreciate the staff at Vacay Country for their hard work and communication with us before and during our stay, wonderful folks! Overlook Point is a great property for families with Canyon Lake below, porches to lounge on and a game room to burn off some energy! We enjoyed the kitchen and cooked several meals.

Not a return spot for us

The primary draw for us was the hot tub, which wasn't operational. They offered a small refund for that, but the experience is more important to me than a few bucks. The interior windows were filled with cobwebs/spider webs with eggs and both inside and outside windows were pretty filthy. Upon arrival, we spent over an hour cleaning after finding the kitchen table was full of crumbs/leftover food stuck to it. Really bothered by the grill having a lighter on top so we could light each burner since the ignitor was not operational (this is literally a 12 fix). TVs were hard to work (Roku) and had relatively slow wifi. Rooms and space was much smaller than pictures made them appear/.This house is close to a good spot, but I wouldn't return. The experience just isn't the center of focus for the owners the way other houses have been in Canyon Lake for me.

Perfect for reconnecting with family

Although the house is in a neighborhood full of homes, you would never know you have neighbors once you are inside. We felt isolated in this ultra comfortable home with beautiful views of the water. We loved the deer on the property, the gorgeous sunsets and the stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need to make meals like you would at home. We loved our time here and the hot tub was one of the best features on the property.If there were two things I could recommend would be to clean up the windows and put a different flooring on the staircase, but other than that we really loved how cozy this house was!

View was amazing, the common rooms where smaller than expected from the photos and areas that needed to be cleaned a little more, there was some ware and tear or prior damage which I made sure to take photos of upon arrival, but all in all we had a great stay and made some good memories. Amazing house with sunset views

This house was a perfect house for a group of people. We loved the game room and media room. We especially loved the westward facing deck and watching the sunset over the lake every night. Stunning sunset view. The lake was low but the younger ones in our group managed to swim from the property. We saw a fox, deer, rock squirrel, hummingbirds, woodpecker, and other birds from the deck. Our stay was amazing. We would come back to the house again. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots, pans, blender, etc. The only downside was that the management was slow getting back an item we left at the house though we paid the $25 fee. They did not look for the item for 3 days though it was a wallet and keys. We eventually got it back five days after leaving. So double check for things thoroughly.

Nice Place

Nice place and I would love to stay here during the summer. The lake view is spectacular. Had a girls weekend and 4 of us had plenty of room with our own rooms. The media room was super nice to watches movies
 very comfy! Hot tub was great! We cooked both nights and kitchen is well equipped. Overall we had a great time.

Wonderful, unique location

The home was located in beautiful location with excellent lake view. We were a little concerned if the water would be plentiful since the area has been in a drought situation. The water level was still very good. Only one small issue with the controls on the hot tub that was addressed immediately. The one aspect that we weren’t expecting was the abundant, tame deer. It was wonderful to take our walks (very safe area) among the deer. I would highly recommend this area for a low key, relaxing stay. If you like a lot of shopping and night life this place many not be for you but we were able to find good restaurants.

Best Vacation Ever!

This property has EVERYTHING you could possibly need! My husband and I stayed here with a group of friends when we flew in town for a wedding. It was great having a space to catch up with everyone and enjoying the provided activities together. We will definitely be back in the future!

Parents! This house is amazing for young and older kids. The game room/theatre room was a huge PLUS! Plenty of space for a big family. The water level was low this year so it was a challenge getting to the Lake but overall A+ We will be back!
