Second year coming down. Honestly not too much to complain about. Clean and safe place to stay. You’re 15 minutes away from all the major beaches in the Cape May County. Staff are very friendly and helpful!! If I had a concern they address is promptly! Off-season is where this hotel shines. The prices make sense here not during the summer. The inside is mostly renovated and could be updated more. But for the price in September CANT complain! Will be back next year!

3 of us were moving furnturw ect for 12 hours and just wanted a shower & relax. However, there was no hot water. I complained to the front desk. I was told they would get soneone out as soon as possible. We slept because it was late & Irish weekend. We found other accommodations the next day. They did offer us to move to a different the next day but the damage was already done. We should have been moved when we told tgem about the got water. There were still rooms available.

Hyland Motor Inn is a clean, neat budget motel 10 minutes from the Stone Harbor beaches. The outdoor pool was still open the weekend of Sept.19, 2025! The water temp was “refreshing!” The staff is very welcoming and very kind.

affordable option near Beach towns

Thogh an old building the actual room was spacious and well appointed. Bathroom good, towels old and tired. Windows dirty. A good choice for value only 10 minute drive from the Beach!

The properly was very dated. It needed some updates in the worst way. the room was clean and no bugs. the bed pilllows were SOOO HORRIBLE. flat and hard as a rock. we went and bought pillows. The only reason i picked this place was because the pictures had carpet in the rooms. I have a handicapped son in a wheelchair and i needed the carpet. when we got there, there was no carpets and the room wasn't as pretty as the pictures. I dont know if i will stay here again in future but the room was clean.

Old and definitely not fancy. We had a great time and was flash back to my childhood in the 1970’s close to zoo and other attractions. Very relaxing and I full size refrigerator! Would stay again for sure.

Old and Shows It.

The Inn is old and showing its age. On the plus side: low priced and convenient to most Jersey shore attractions, staff was good, room was clean with a full-size refrigerator. On the negative side; musty smells in the bathroom, bed way too soft, shower had a weak stream, AC was the window type and noisy, and one morning had a 2-inch slug on the shower floor.

Its OLD and WORN. We chose this as last resort. It surely wasn't worth $170 per night even though its the HIGH season. We stayed ONE night so it was Bearable. I wouldn't touch some surfaces at all.
