My stay at Akamah was good. The location is great. The room was good and clean. The staff was nice. However, you need to call before reaching the place to be sure someone comes to pick you up on Check-in.
We stayed for one night and were very disappointed. While the venue is beautiful, it is clearly not set up for overnight accommodation and should rather focus on weddings and events.
The bath soap appeared reused and discoloured, which was unhygienic. There were no instructions for using the shower, no fans or cooling for the summer heat, and although a TV was installed in the room, it did not work.
Due to these issues, I would not recommend this venue for an overnight stay.
The venue has so much potential. Unfortunately it feels like camping in a mansion. The big things are there - great location, amazing views, and cape dutch architecture. The details however are all missing. No breakfast options. No tea or coffee options. No towel rails. No toilet roll holders. Broken aircon. It is - fundamentally- a muslim wedding destination. Accommodation is clearly an after thought, and based on previous comments they don't want to learn how to do it properly.
Points faibles : Service et personnel, confort de la chambre
Potential but for now disappointing
This place has enormous potential. Gorgeous location, beautiful buildings and rooms. But their must be a lack of budget: no comfortable general area's, no patio furniture, no fridge, hairdryer etc.
The place is mainly a wedding venue, which offers problems for other guests.
