Large studio facing the island of Marie Galante; its south / east facing terrace opens onto a flowered and wooded garden. This garden is completely enclosed by fences. Your car has a private space there. The villa, at the top of a 'dreary' (hill) is on the heights of the town of CAPESTERRE BELLE EAU with a beautiful view of the sea, the sugar cane fields and the banana plantations.
2 steps from the beaches of ROSEAU, BANANIER and 5 minutes by car from the town. Backed by the mountain, it is also very close to the tropical forest of the SOUFRIERE massif and its volcano bearing the same name (1597m) and the 3 CARBET falls, the highest of which reaches 110m.

Coin douillets, propriétaire très gentil et serviable

Cette propriété est très bien entretenue, les propriétaires sont gentils et accueillants, on s’est toute suite senti reçu comme des amis. Les seuls points négatifs ne sont pas liés à la propriété ni aux service reçu par les hôtes. Nous avons eu quelques difficultés avec l’internet (nos hôtes étaient bienveillants et nous ont permis d’utiliser l’autre réseau.) et la télévision a brisé et nous avons été quelques jours sans celle-ci. Cela n’aurait pas été un problème si la météo avait été plus clémente (nous avons eu de la pluie presque tous les soirs). Nous conseillons aussi aux personnes visitant cette propriété d’apporter des spirale chasse-moustique (ou toute autre méthode pour les éloigner) car ils sont très voraces durant la nuit. De plus, la demeure est plutôt loin du centre de Capesterre-Belle-Eau, donc la location d’un vehicule est préconisée.

Hosts are realy kind and you will have all needed during your stay. Garden is very nice on the top of the hill with nice views. Good place for hikers, close to national park hiking trails.

Perfect fit for our needs!

Location was a little complicated to find via cell phone GPS so be sure to follow the provided instructions on how to arrive! Other than that...the KINDEST, FRIENDLIEST, MOST HELPFUL HOST!!! Their property is well secured, you are alone as much as you'd like to be and welcomed if you felt like company. If you are looking to explore the Island or other Islands surrounding, this is a great location and the right spot to be in. I'd recommend certain places to visit but we went everywhere so I can't single them out! Bring tennis shoes if you want to head to the volcano...flip flops aren't ideal obviously. Get to know the restaurant and grocery hours of operation. We often found they were closed or closing when we decided we were hungry. The operating hours are not what Americans are used to. I will suggest one place that I wish we knew about sooner...we stayed in a VERY average hotel night before our departure and it was at the Marina near the airport. If you locate Hotel Village Soleil, you will find the Marina. The parking area/surrounding restaurants will throw you off but, head to the waterfront of the marina and you will be pleased you did! VERY COOL VIBE, South Beach, Chic ambiance. Too bad we found it on the last night! Overall, would definitely return to their vacation retreat and explore some more!!! THANK YOU GRACIOUS HOST! Until we meet again.

Great hosts!

We've been using VRBO for years and these are some of the nicest hosts we've had. We arrived the night of Christmas Eve when everything was closed and they invited us up for dinner and drinks and we had a really lovely time with them. They were really responsive, helpful and enjoyable the whole time. The studio is private and has everything you need, including a great view! The property is located just a few minutes from the Chutes de Carbet, the three rivers marina to go to les saintes and the volcano (which I highly recommend doing). There are a couple of beaches close by but otherwise you need to drive to some of the nicer beaches. Overall it was a great location and what we loved the most were our hosts, who made us feel so welcome and at home. We really had a lovely time.

Very Enjoyable Stay

This was our first HomeAway experience, and we could not have had a better first impression. The host, Mrs. Vincent, was extremely agreeable and kind. She welcomed us warmly and with a nice meal, as we arrived on a Sunday. She was available to us whenever we had a question, and we saw her a few times coming and going throughout the week, but we felt we had all of the privacy and comfort we needed. We explored Basse Terre (and some of Grande Terre) on our daily adventures, and were well situated to do so. We loved our time in Guadeloupe, and we look forward to returning. We would definitely look to stay here again!

Beautiful!

We enjoyed our stay! The Vincent's made us feel right at home. They were helpful and gave us tips where to go. One morning they brought us delicious fresh hot croissants. The location is excellent, you can easily drive to the beach, volcano and many other sites. We would definitely consider staying here the next time we go to Guadeloupe!

Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und auch um das wohlbefinden der Gäste bemüht.Der Garten und die Aussicht sind fantastisch.Die Ausstattung der Küche ist verbesserungsbedürftig.Da sämtliche Gäste zwangsläufig aus Übersee kommen, wäre es schön eine gewisse Grundausstattung in der Küche vorzufinden wie z.B. Salz, Pfeffer, Zucker....einfach ein paar Dinge die in jeder Küche zu finden sind.Die Ausstattung des Wohnraumes ist sehr einfach gehalten, was für den Preis auch föllig in Ordnung ist. Allerdings schließt Einfachheit nicht Sauberkeit und Funktionalität aus.Kurz gesagt - es hat unsere "deutschen" Erwartungen nicht so recht erfüllt. Ich bin mir sicher, dass wenn wir vor Ort die Sachen angesprochen hätten, dass dann Jeanne-Marie versucht hätte Nachzubessern, jedoch wollten wir in unserem Traumurlaub nicht eine graue Wolke über dem Vermieter/Mieter Verhältnis aufziehen lassen. Deshalb haben wir vor Ort, bis auf die defekte Kaffeemaschine, nichts weiter angesprochen.Ich würde durchaus wieder dorthin gehen - denn jetzt würde ich mit weniger Erwartung kommen.Jeanne Marie, nicht böse sein aber nur so kann man besser werden.

Un Oasis de Paix, dans un ecrin de verdure !

Un Oasis de Paix, dans un ecrin de verdure: Accueil / Arrivee: Excellent, l’appartement nickel, arrivee tres tard le (Samedi) soir – pas de problemes pour nos hotes. Localisation & Abords du gite: Excellent – apartment au rez-de-chaussee, avec terrasse couverte, donnant sur tres beau Jardin ‘tropical’, tres vaste et tres bien entretenu. Enviromment tres calme car rue impasse, seuls les riverains passent ds cette rue. Vue exterieure: la vue en hauteur de la campagne environnante, avec a la mer a l’horizon est impregnable. Fort agreable, propisce a des moments intense de relaxation. Les seuls bruits en soiree et en journee: la pluie qui tombe par intermittences.. . Piscine: Quoique petite, assez agreable pour se rafraichir. Accessible toute la journee, sans preavis necessaire. Proximite de commerces: A 5mn-10mn en voiture, se trouve un petit Centre Commercial – avec tres bonne boulangerie (ouvert tres tot le matin) avec du pain et autres viennoiseries, gateaux a prix tres abordables), un EcoPrix et autres services. En resume, tres bonnes conditions de sejour. Gite tres agreable, comfortable, parfait acceuil et support durant le Sejour.. a recommender pour un couple, personne seule cherchant un endroit paisible, reposant .. mais aussi avec access rapide a la route principale.

Très bon séjour à Capesterre !

Nous avons passé 6 jours en famille chez Jeanne-Marie et Jacques. Le logement est fonctionnel, avec une superbe vue et un accès très pratique à la piscine. Bonne localisation géographique pour visiter Basse-Terre et les Saintes. Jeanne-Marie et Jacques sont des hôtes plus que sympathiques, disponibles et toujours de bons conseils. Un accueil au top !

Pour faire un séjour à Basse-Terre, le logement est idéalement situé, facile d'accès et dans une propriété magnifique avec une vue spendide sur les Iles. Nous sommes ravies de notre séjour chez Jeanne Marie et son époux Vincent. Ce sont des hôtes très charmants, serviables et de bons conseils. Leur demeure est magnifique, lever de soleil splendide depuis le studio, jardin tropical de toute beauté. Le clou du spectacle est la vue sur la mer et sur Marie Galante depuis leur agréable piscine. On ne s en lasse pas. Le studio est fonctionnel et nous apprécions la terrasse pour dejeuner et/ou diner. Des transats à disposition permettent de faire bronzette. Merci ! Nous recommandons vivement ce logement.
