Laika House is a comfortable private home steps from the beach and right in the heart of The Village at Captiva. Its large, sunny front porch overlooks the grounds which are surrounded by thriving tropical forests. Laika also has a private heated pool.

Laika has outdoor showers downstairs as well, convenient after your return from the beach. Inside, the common areas feature hardwood floors and practical furniture. You’re all set to dine, entertain, or relax after a great day at the beach. French doors open onto the sunny front deck. Keep in touch with WIFI.

There are three bedrooms and two full baths. Behind the Laika, House is the pool and backyard, and then a thick tropical forest completely empty of human inhabitants. That means plenty of peace and quiet, fresh breezes, and wonderful nature.

Laika’s front grounds were recently landscaped. There is ample privacy for sunbathing on the front deck or swimming in the back. The backyard borders the largest expanse of natural jungle anywhere on Captiva. Depending on the time of year, you might see wildlife including exotic, tropical birds lazily strolling amid the flowering shrubs.

The Gulf beach only steps away along sandy, private Laika Lane (no public parking, and virtually no traffic). There is a well-equipped kitchen, carpeting, and French doors out to the porch. It is really adorable! This house gives you everything and is quite a bargain.
