Fabulous, stayed for Stereophonics, nice touch with the info sheets in the room for the concert and the quiz the following morning. Great breakfast, nice tea, comfy room, only gripe was getting stuck in the lift, perhaps let people know they have to tap their room card to get to their floor :-)

Concert Booking

We booked the Mercure in Newport after another Newport hotel cancelled our booking the day before we were supposed to arrive. We are so glad we chose the Mercure ahead of anywhere else. There was free Welsh cakes and water upon arrival with a very welcoming hostess. The hotel was spotless and the room was excellent. The staff had even though about the extremely hot weather outside and put a card in the room so that the air con was working before we even got in it. It was 32 degrees outside but the room was a comfortable 19 degrees. The bed was very comfortable and the TV was of a decent size. The bathroom was also top notch with the only minor fault with the shower as this was a walk in model and the shower screen let out a small amount of spray. The basin was a decent size and the toilet had one of the best flushes I have seen in the hotel. All in all it was an excellent.

A brilliant memorable stay

We were down for the Oasis gig & enjoyed a wonderful stay. The additional Oasis extras they put on to greet us really made the stay extra special. Rooms & hotel were lovely & clean. Room service food was great as was bar facilities. A special shout out to the lady who checked us in who was brilliant. I think the Oasis stuff may have been her doing but she was brilliant & the reason I'll stay at this hotel again. She was so polite, friendly & welcoming. Thank you again so much & Live Forever 😁

Great welcome, lovely stay

Very clean, though option available to skip a clean if you wanted (for eco purposes). Great welcome on arrival and at breakfast time. Amazing staff, one spotted my kid reading his comic at breakfast and made a point of letting us know there was a comic book fair being held in the hotel that day. My son and I would definitely be happy to stay here again.
