3.5-star eco-certified hotel near Procurator's House
Along with a restaurant, there's a snack bar/deli on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. A computer station is on site and WiFi is free in public spaces. The eco-certified TĆ· Magor also features coffee/tea in a common area, laundry facilities, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking is free.
Another great stay at TY Magor, the only thing I would do is move the picnic bench from the main entrance around the side with the other benches itâs not a good look when you arrive and not good for those that are staying in the rooms right above it.(This is a quick win for the hotel if they do this)
Very nice hotel, beds are very comfortable although I think the pillows are a bit too soft, but that is just personal preference, plenty of free parking as well, would come back.
Another week at TY Magor the staff here never disappoint me and are always very supportive and helpful, I would like to thank them all and wish them a happy Easter.
We stayed here for one night and chose it because it was near to ICC Wales. The hotel is conveniently located near to the M4, but we could not hear traffic noise. The immediate area has nothing of interest, but Magor is an interesting little village a short drive away, with a few limited dining options.
The hotel is clean and the rooms are well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the price was reasonable.
My reason for only 2 stars was that the room was far too hot at night, making it impossible to sleep. This was an early spring day with outside temperatures (day/night) of 15â°/12â° yet the room sensor said it was 25â° in the room. The air conditioning was set to max cooling but was not achieving much and there was a fan provided to move the air around, which all made the room noisy. Clearly something is not right.
We have stayed here before without issue but this experience has made us reconsider whether we will go again.
