It's in awesome location facing the main street of Carmel town. Our room at first was so tiny(not a room to open the luggage!) we asked the front lady if there's larger room. They accomodated quick and gave us a new room. It was larger but next to outside AC/Heater unit, so little noisy. If you close all shutter blinds, not that bad.
We sat at lobby sitting area with fire going.. it was so cozy. It is a old historic Inn, so don't expect modern hotel stuff. Just enjoy this place as Old Carmel town!

Perfect location, imperfect sleep
Posted Mar. 17, 2024 on HotelsThe staff was amazing and the location was perfect. The history of the building is really cool. It seems like an update is needed— the lampshades were torn and dingy and the bed was so uncomfortable that neither my husband nor I slept well.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel and loved everything about it. It reminded us of the old hotels in Paris or Rome. Built in 1889 and looks amazing!

The Inn cannot provide enough parking spaces for their guests. Be prepared to deal with the "musical chairs" aspect of parking in Carmel. Other than that, the location is fantastic. We wish we could have spent more time in one of the most beautiful locations in the country.
