Girls trip

Cozy & Peaceful Getaway

We had an absolutely perfect stay here at the cottage. The living room, kitchen and dining areas were just the right size for our family and Boxer. The covered porch was extremely comfortable for outdoor reading, but the best part of the trip was spending evenings by the huge fire pit in the backyard. It's ideal for making s'mores and roasting hot dogs. It's also only a 3 minute walk down the wooded road to the shared dock area which has incredible lake views, especially at sunset.

Perfect Getaway

Wonder time with family and friends at the StoneHaven Camp. Very much recommended it for an Adirondack getaway. We were very comfortable; Everything was in good working order. Very quiet and only a short walk to the lake.

My family booked 4 nights and did not stay one. The floors were dirty- piles of pet hair and old cereal accumulated on stairs. One of the toilets was broken. There was pet hair all over the sofa even though the listing says no pets on furniture. One of the mattresses smelled of urine. The shower clearly had not been cleaned and smelled of sour mildew. The water access was impossible to find. When I reached out to the owner requesting a partial refund with my concerns, they got uppity and insulted my judgment on the booking. Oh but they did refund me 100 for the broken toilet. Keep looking, there are better options.

Family visit

My family and I stayed at the cabin to visit friends at Caroga Lake. Lots of room for my husband and I and our 6 kids. Well stocked kitchen, the kids appreciated the toys. Great location close to trails and the lake. We missed that towels were not provided in the listing - it is in there but only after opening one of the links. Wish it was written right next to information about linens. Once I noticed we bought towels on the way in, no issues. Perfect place for what we were looking for.

June Visit

We stayed from June 15, 2025 to June 20, 2025 we drove from TN to visit family, the stay was great and it was clean and had all what we needed as provided on the site listing, we added what we needed from nearby stores, I give it a big thumbs up, the only thing that I had an issue with was the lighting in the bathroom once you closed the shower curtain it got real dark so I left it partially opened to see. Otherwise everything was great would stay there again

Adorable Cabin, but...

I don't leave reviews too often but I feel like I have to because it might help somebody or make the owner aware of some things that they may not know. It is adorable, it is quiet, and a nice place to stay for a few days. I was not given towels, my beds only had mattress covers which were covered in pet hair and one had a menstrual stain. I had no pillow cases. The window in the living room was broken with glass outside on the ground. Apparently it's been broken for two months now due to the last guests entry in the guest book. And the worst part was the door did not lock when I left the property, meaning anyone could just walk in and steal my belongings. The first night I came back to the property the door was wide open setting me into a panic, almost calling 911 as I thought someone broke in. Thankfully it was OK but it sure startled me. I was uncomfortable leaving the cabin because the lock did not lock. I'm also unsure why the shower smelled like bacon and urine, it was quite fowl. I hope this helps, maybe the owner just isn't aware of some of the things going on? God bless.

Snowmobile weekend

We stayed at this house because of its proximity to the main snowmobile trail in the area. We rode from there all day around the surrounding areas for lunch and dinner both days.

Cute house with lots of room for the family. The house was very clean. It did not say in the listing to bring your own towels so I missed that part. Thank goodness we wound up only staying one night. We did have to make our own beds as well. That is why they get 4 and not 5 stars.

A little piece of heaven

I originally booked this as a girls weekend away with my friends because we had stayed before and unfortunately they got sick. I still went with my cousin and my nephew. I was so excited to share this little treasure of a hideaway with them. This is always a cosey stay enough away from the world to forget about your troubles!!

Cozy Spot
