One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, an arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Getting Around:
Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike â they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.
Other Things to Note:
You must be at least 25 years of age to book this property.
We loved our stay here! The property was very clean and tidy! Comfy beds, quiet area, and spacious condo. Wonderful access to the beach, and an easy bike ride to the boardwalk. It was nice to have an elevator to use and the 3rd level views were amazing! Thank you for a great time!
Excellent location. It is an older complex so items needed some maintenance repairs or replaced. Sea Coast Rental Team had repairs fixed asap. They were great to work with.
Excellent location 6 minutes from the Kure Beach Pier and about 5 minutes to Carolina Beach attractions. Condo was super clean and view was fantastic of the ocean. They also helped me get a pair of shoes I left sent back. 5 stars all around! My new favorite beach!
The location was great and the condo was clean and comfy. I was surprised that our unit was on the third floor but there was an elevator. Clean sheets and towels were included but no wash cloths. Grannys kitchen across the street served an amazing breakfast. We enjoyed shopping in town and took the ferry to Southport, a lovely little nastalgic town with lots to offer if you like antique and boutique shopping. I would have liked to seen more information in the condo regarding area attractions and recommendations for where to eat. No information was provided about the pool. We didnt see anyone in it and assumed it was closed for the season. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.
Check-in process was good. Got to the room- clean(YES). Nice Condo, nice view of ocean (accurately labeled Ocean Front). Kitchen was amply supplied with amenities as advertised. Linens in room waiting for "US" to make up the beds (isn't that part of the room service??? but we did know that the linens were clean that way). We later found out that we didn't have a key for the pool area (locked access) so we had to call and get another key ring brought to us with a pool key (how does that happen???) They were very responsive to bring out the key. We then found out one night that the Condo doesn't have DVD/Blue Ray players anywhere. They also don't have Smart TV's so Movie Apps was out of the question also (they do have internet service). Beds were comfortable, along with the living room furniture. A/C was very nice and kept the rooms cool without difficulty. Washer and Dryer was very nice- higher end appliances. Elevator worked well but needed a little TLC and there are a couple of carts for luggage and a Grocery style cart to help with Grocery runs. We would recommend bringing a laptop with Disc player so you can rent/watch movies/apps (they may want to label the Unit as not having these). The Condo TV's did have a HDMI hook-up (living room). For the price I paid to stay here, I'd expect these issues to be non-issues. I say all this to be informative and not to throw off on the property. I'd stay here again since I'd know the "quirks" of the Condo and could adjust for them. Very Nice place, short of perfection, but better than a lot of places I've stayed. I'd recommend to my family and friends along with the helpful info. above. You'll have a great time here.
The hot water in our unit smelled like sewage to me and sulfur to my wife. Upon arriving I called the afternoon hours help. Received a call back from maintenance saying he thinks he knows the issue and will be by to look at it and have the city come by. Two days later no response. So I called the main office I am told by a young lady there is nothing that they could do and she was not aware of anyone coming by. I then called the next day explain the situation to now or third person. This person informs me âoh you should never drink the water out of the tapâ. This is my second year at this unit with sea colony and I was never told this and the previous year. We love the first year no one ever told us not to drink the tap water. I am from the Midwest we drink out of the tap water all the time. So the water still smelled they werenât going to send you anyone out to fix it. Two days later no response. So the water still smelled, they werenât going to send you anyone out to fix it or even look into it. I was informed to just drink bottled water. Which was an expense I had not planned for 6 whole days. It also made me feel unsafe with having to bathe my children with water that I was unsure of what the contents were. I was told there is nothing that anyone could do no one was coming by to look at it and feel that the customer service from seacoast rentals was subpar and very disappointing. I am amazed I never hear from a manager. We are not coming back for a third year.
We loved our stay at Sea Colony, and Seacoast Rentals could not have been more helpful to us. We will definitely be booking more stays in the future with them. The property was very clean, and I had the joy of meeting one of the neighbors at the condo who gave us some great places to check out as well. We had a wonderful time, definitely recommend!
Condo was nice and pretty clean. Good size for a family of 5. Everything about check in and arrival was fairly easy. Upon arrival we asked for pool passes and were told the pool was closed by the HOA. Disappointing since we were not told beforehand or during booking and didnât select another condo because we knew that one was closed. We were made to believe it was opened and there were no issues until too late. Great views of the beach from the balcony. Well stocked kitchen. Our condo was centrally located to everything we did outside of the beach. We had a great beach week even with the pool closed!
We booked at the last minute for a Memorial Day getaway and were very impressed with the accommodations. The condo is older but well maintained and comfortable. Close enough to restaurants and attractions to get to them easily but far enough away that it didnât feel commercialized or loud. Zero complaints whatsoever and would definitely book here again.
Have been coming to Carolina Beach for 50 plus years. This property is one of the nicer ones we have stayed at for a smaller, more budget friendly option. Overall had a great experience and would definitely recommend this property over others we have stayed at through the years.
My wife to two sons loved this rental. It was cozy yet comfortable. Everything you could need for making meals was there. All we had to do was go shopping. Super close to the beach and very convenient especially with toting a 9 and 3 year old and all of the beach stuff. Beds were comfortable and plenty of seating in the living room. And check out was easier than any other place we have stayed. We are definitely going to book again next year.
