Here, welcomed guests find timeless indoor and outdoor spaces of unsurpassed comfort and serenity at our expansive 2-BR LODGE GUEST HOUSE.

The LODGE is particularly suited to ADULTS and SENIOR GUESTS looking to relax and unwind in “ultra-comfort”, amidst nature’s beauty.
It is also an ideal destination for those wishing to spend time here on a "working vacation” - enjoying the luxury of quiet times in relaxed and comfortable surroundings!

The LODGE is a very large residence located at the Garden-level. There are beautiful antique lead-glass windows and doors throughout with overlooking vistas in all four directions - N, S, E, and W!

The Lodge has multiple private outdoor living spaces. A large furnished brick-floored and furnished garden terrace is accessed directly from the main Double Living Room which faces South. A brick walkway leads directly to the beautifully planted South Gardens, and then to the Observation Deck, all facing the sea. A private and comfortable screened-in Veranda is also located off the south bedroom.

Once inside the spacious accommodations, guests are surrounded by elegant and comfortable furnishings, antiques, unique collections and art work from around the world. There are multiple desks at the Lodge, with Aeron desk chairs and private areas that one can work at.
There is Wi-Fi throughout the residence: Wi-Fi Speed: 1 Gig; Available Data Usage: 6,000 Gigabytes. ETHERNET Jack is available.

The eclectic ENTRY PARLOR is a cozy reception area containing a large antique French desk, an Aeron orthopedic desk chair, a love seat, two ottomans, a comfortable wing chair, TV, bookcase, and wall storage areas. Near the entrance, there is a FULL BATHROOM (with walk-in shower), a very large wardrobe, and a separate storage closet with beach chairs, umbrellas, etc.

In the Parlor, there is a BREAKFAST NOOK, with a bar sink and a WINE REFRIGERATOR. Both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker are provided as are various select coffees and many other breakfast necessities.
West of the Parlor is the KITCHEN, which has a quartz Farm sink, quartz counter tops, and which is fully equipped (see listing description and photos).

There is also a separate BUTLER’s PANTRY, containing a second microwave, sink, Dishwasher, Butcher Block cutting table, desk, chair, china, silver, and glassware storage.

There are books to be enjoyed from the LIBRARY and guests can entertain up to 16 friends and family at the antique French farm table in the DINING ROOM. Cutlery, china and glassware, serving dishes of all kinds are provided for up to 16 guests.

The Grand LIVING ROOM is 26 feet in length, and has multiple sitting areas and sofas (two additional guests can be accommodated on the two tatami-and-futon sleep areas). The Living room has an impressive double set of floor-to-ceiling French doors that open onto the large and spacious brick-floored GARDEN TERRACE facing the South gardens. There is outdoor seating and amazing views onto the uniquely planted and designed gardens which contain soothing fountains, art installations and which faces the Gulf of Mexico beyond.

There are TWO elegant BEDROOMS, the “Colonial” BR and the “Chinese” BR, both having King size beds. There are desks or writing areas, Aeron desk chairs, wing chairs and large wardrobes in each of the bedrooms.

From the Chinese Bedroom, French doors open onto the screened-in and brick-floored Veranda, where there is a Bistro table with various seating, all facing the South Gardens. The veranda's double screen doors on the east and west make one feel as though they might be sitting directly in the midst of the Gardens…the crystalline splash of the water from the Pompei fountain, heard just beyond, in the butterfly garden…

Adjacent to the two bedrooms, there is a very large and magnificent second full BATHROOM. With an antique lead-glass window surround, it faces the Butterfly Gardens. Large tub, double walk-in shower with rain shower and regular shower heads. Fabulous 1920’s sink and and wall mirrors. A woven ottoman, a double glass-door towel closet and many details throughout.

Antiques, original paintings, unique lighting fixtures and art works from around the world adorn the LODGE throughout.

Outdoors, several “Garden Rooms" filled with native and exotic plantings, add beauty, attract butterflies and birds, and bring peace to the stressed-out visitor.
Strolling through the expansive and stunning SOUTH GARDENS, there are timeless LANTERN-LIT paths, and guests can explore and perhaps discover the location of the “secret” MEDITATION GARDEN!

Elsewhere in the Gardens, there is the screened-in CHINESE PAVILION which is a destination where guests can bring a meal to enjoy al fresco (there is a table and seating for six guests, and a sink), play cards or backgammon, relax in the hammock or enjoy a therapeutic outdoor massage (with advanced appointment).

On the expansive OBSERVATION DECK, with its numerous seating, tables and Adirondack chairs, guests can meditate on the amazing views and the mesmerizing sea horizon — experience stunning sunrises and sunsets —or sit with friends (or alone) around the LARGE custom-designed FIRE PIT (54”diameter) and look up with awe at the billions of stars sparkling in the night sky!

While on the DECK, one can play OUTDOOR BILLIARDS (on the regulation size pool table), or practice yoga (we can provide mats) or swing on old-fashioned WOOD SWINGS….or just sip a glass of wine or toast marshmallows as the sun sets over the sea horizon.

Within a 3-min walk through the South gardens, there is a small PRIVATE BEACH across the road from the Retreat for our Guests and their Pets’ enjoyment!
Beach chairs, beach towels and beach umbrellas are provided for our guests. Once there, there are water and sky views with virtually no man-made structures in sight.

At LOW TIDE, guests can enjoy beautiful walks, perhaps accompanied by their beloved pet, while watching shore birds and jumping dolphins and breathing-in the healthful sea air, amused by their four-legged companions trying to catch little crabs along the water’s edge…
