Set adjacent to the ownersâ home, its ground floor formerly housed cattle and the upper was the village Sunday school. This area of the Solway has beautiful beaches, especially Sandyhills. The area is renowned for coastal, hill and woodland walks, whilst horse riding, golf, fishing and bird watching are nearby, with watersports at Loch Ken. The Seven Stanes and National Cycle Network pass nearby for cyclists. Castle Douglas is a nearby traditional market town specialising in local produce, crafts, cafes and restaurants. Shops 2œ miles, pub 3 miles.
