- this hotel has no beach whatsoever (taken out by a hurricane) and swimming is not really possible in front
- it has a small and not very pleasant swimming pool
On the positive side:
- the bungalows are large, well equipped and very comfortable
- the restaurant is good
- the staff is very nice and friendly

Dear Benjamin,Thank you for your review. We are sorry for not exceeding your expectations. Unfortunately we have beautiful mangroves at the ocean front and we want to protect them, that's the reason why we do not offer a beach. However as we explained to you, there's a nice beach around 3 minutes away from our resort where people can enjoy and relax. We do have 2 pools and unfortunately one was out of service when you were here but I am happy to inform you that both pools are in full operation and the pool bar as well.We hope to host you back in our property.

The property was an oasis in a rural area, out of the town but with easy access. The palapa style cottage rooms were quaint and well appointed. Dining was excellent. The staff were all friendly, attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here when in Caye Caulkner.

Property was very clean and in order. Staff was very attentive to the resort area. Kudos to the front desk staff (Harold snd Tyra). Harold was excellent in coordinating our transport around the island and making sure we were safe at all times. My only complaint is the golf cart and its limited seating ... we were a party of 7, and that called for 2 trips (pick up and drop off). Allen our speed driver was on time and professional. Nick (bartender/server) was very friendly always asking and ensuring we were ok. To sum it up..... it was a rime well spent!!

The property itself is awesome - very nice rooms. Its a little inconvenient with their shuttle, especially get back to the resort, found it easier to just take the Split shuttle and walk.

El Ben is close to the split on the North side, it's relatively new and the accommodations are great. There's an on-site restaurant and bar and the staff are totally there for your every need. They offer to take you to and pick you up at the ferry pier on the South side, there's a published schedule. They will also take you by golf cart to the split or the local restaurants on the North side. Would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others. Check-in and out was seamless, Harold even had a welcome cocktail for us!
