The room was very clean The bed was very comfortable. The bath shower gel bottle was empty The staff was very friendly. Funny how trip advisor never mentioned the train. LOL.

We were absolutely thrilled with our accommodations, amenities, and overall experience (it was so much more than just a stay) at the Millwright! It was delightful. The Millwright itself is steeped in history, as is the surrounding village. It was an absolute treat to stay there! Can’t say enough about the friendly staff! They were welcoming & so helpful. Our room was spacious, sparkling clean, cozy bed with luxurious linens and fab shower! It is a must stay! We can’t stop talking about it! We loved walking about the village as well. Filled with quaint shops, wineries, and delicious eateries. You must stay here. Ranks as one of the very best hotels we’ve ever stayed in here in the U.S. or abroad!

Beautiful historic building. Rooms and bathrooms are big and airy and the beds comfortable. Breakfast is not included and there are not easy places for a hot breakfast around. You can find coffee shops with baked goods though.

The room was very large, clean, and comfortable. The old miill converted to a hotel is a different experience than a normal hotel but just adds to the experience of visiting the Amana colonies. The location is great for exploring Amana. We had a great breakfast at the Indigo room and all of the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We definitely plan to come back some day.

Had such high hopes for this cute area but it was an extremely noisy stay, could hear people snoring through the walls. Also the breakfast area was a zoo in the morning, 1 staff member serving and handling everything. I suggest that you get more staff before upcoming weekend.

Truly a gem.

It was a perfect blend of past and present. Amana is an amazing little town with great food and plenty to discover. I booked the hotel to avoid staying directly in Cedar Rapids, and this was worth the commute to my job every day. I will absolutely be making time to come here for a personal vacation rather than a work trip.

I loved our stay. The hotel was beautiful, historic, great location, one of my best hotel stays ever!!
This is a wall decor, hundreds of spools of wool because the hotel is a former woolen mill beautifully made into this wonderful hotel.
