Terrazza del mare is a charming sea view apartment on the second floor of an historical building in the heart of the beautiful old town of CefalĂč.
Located near Porta Ossuna, one of the four historical gate of the town, dating back to the times of Roger II, king of the Norman Kingdom of Sicily, Terrazza del Mare is just in front of the sea and a few steps from the main sand beaches. Shops, restaurants, wineries, as well as CefalĂč well known monuments, as the famous Cathedral and the Medieval washing Place, are all within walking distance. The area is lively in the summer season, quieter in low season, charming at any time.
Terrazza del Mare, bright and airy, tastefully furnished in Sicilian style, with Sicilian antiques and Sicilian decor, is nevertheless equipped with all modern comfort. It is spilt on three levels: you enter in the spacious open plan living room, overlooking the sea, with a kitchen area, a dining room area, a single sofa bed and a small bathroom. A flight of stairs leads down to the wide master bedroom, with an en suite bathroom with shower, Another flight of stairs leads up to a cosy bedroom, with a french sized double bed, a bathroom with shower, and a private small terrace with a stunning sea view. Sitting in the terrace, you can be lulled by the sound of the sea, contemplating, in absolute quiet, its changing colours from morning to sunset.
Please be aware that the Municipality of CefalĂč requires a mandatory tourist tax of 2 euro/person per night, starting from 13 years old, for a maximum of 5 nights (in case of longer reservations the remaining nights will not be charged)
The property is very shabby with rusty and dirty outside furniture. I feel that the agents should make it clear that there are very steep Atariâs up to the property.
Also thought that 10⏠for sheets and two very thin towels per person was very expensive consider the quality of same
We loved the apartment and its charming interior and found the sound of the waves so relaxing. It was delightful to sit by the balcony and watch the sunset. Beds were comfortable but pillows were hard and unyielding! Kitchen area had enough equipment to cook simple meals, but we were surprised there was not even salt and pepper available. The location is amazing - plenty of good restaurants within 5 minutes walk and parking (at a price) nearby.
