Location was great for Snowy Range. Hotel quality was just above a Motel 6. $25/person additional charge for anything over 2 people in a room with 2 queens. Dinner and service at the Steak was not good. The fattiest prime rib I've ever eaten. Granted this was toward the end of the season, but for the money it should be better,
It was a great stay. Staff is so kind and helpful! The room is warm, clean, and beds are comfy. My kid had a great time playing in the snow and watching a movie in the media room. Good at the restaurant was great ( if you are torn between the steak and the prime rib, go with the steak!) My only complaint is that room 102 is right next to the entrance door and stairs and it can get really loud due to slamming doors and people walking up and down with heavy boots. Wish there was some sort of light breakfast offered as well. When I mentioned it to the front desk they offered to move us, but we had already unpacked and it was too much of a bother- but shout out to the front desk for offering! Excellent service.
Very nice property, however rooms were too cold and hard to heat, common areas such as dining, movie room and breakfast area were always way too coldâ wife had to get an extra blanket from staff just to survive morning tea and coffee
The hotel is certainly unique, especially as to location and local "frontier" surroundings and amenities. Since it was off-season, it was more affordable; however, there was no food service available except for the long weekend when the restaurant had (very expensive) steak nights. I was adequately provisioned, so I didn't have to buy anything. Very good coffee was available in the very comfortable lounge area with TV and internet.
One thing I meant to mention to the management was that my mattress was partially collapsed from people sitting on the side of the bed to put shoes on, etc. Experts recommend "rotating" mattresses by turning them over, or reversing their positions. Otherwise, one tends to roll over to the sunken side.
