My Bulldog Gives 5 Stars!

Huge fenced backyard so you don't have to have your pup on leash all the time and we had access to a private beach which my bulldog loved. We used the beach daily and never ran into another person on it. The town of Bayfield has water bowls for dogs outside most shops and again our bulldog was welcome most places in town. All of this made vacationing with our dog really easy - which was initially a worry of ours when booking time away from home.

Absolutely loved our stay here. A lovely place to have a group getaway. The location itself was peaceful and quiet. The views of the sunset were beyond stunning. Would def come back.

Our long-delayed trip with kids & grandkids
Publié le 24 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a good time, in part because the weather was excellent and we could be outside a lot. But inside was good too. We'd suggest that the owner put curtains over the French doors on the loft level, both for privacy and to keep sunny days from heating that bedroom up. But overall it was an excellent rental, and we'd be happy to return.

Beautiful home
Publié le 17 août 2023 sur HomeAwayProperty was clean and had all the necessary amenities. Huge fenced yard was perfect for the dog and two little kids to run around. The beach is accessible by 104 steps. Was not realistic for the little kids or the dog or for fishing. If you want a quiet get away, this home is perfect

Bayfield truly stands out for its stunning sunset views in Ontario, primarily thanks to the captivating bluffs. These bluffs offer a unique experience to our guests which also have the option to choose between taking the 100 steps or opting for the adventurous path on the opposite side to get down to this very quiet picture perfect beach.
For guests traveling with infants or toddlers who may require strollers may pose some challenges to get down to majority of the beaches in Bayfield because of the bluffs.
In my personal experience, I've found that using lightweight umbrella strollers for babies has been quite convenient when accessing the beach area at our Lake Huron cottage. These strollers are designed for easy portability, which has made it manageable for me to take my kids down to the beach since they were babies. As they grew older, around the age of 4, they even started beating me to the top of the stairs that lead to the beach access point.
I am glad you also enjoyed the fully fence off yard for your pets (and some people like it for their little ones as well).

Great Cottage

Sister Getaway

Property is a large corner lot with lots of fully fenced outdoor space.Lots of space inside as well, lovely screened porch in the back. We made use of the screen porch a lot. The living room area is quite warm in the afternoon and early evenings with the large windows at the front offering a lovely view, but also allowing unrestricted sunshine into the room. Dining table is beautiful and can seat 8 people comfortably. The cleaning personnel are very conscientious and thorough. The host George was immediately available and ready to go above and beyond to mitigate problems that arose with the BBQ. Thanks George. We had a very relaxing, quiet stay, watching birds and chipmunks, deer and rabbits. Great central location for short day trips. We will definitely book again.
