Great hotel, great staff, great location

I had a wonderful stay. The hotel is centrally located and it's very convenient to get around. The room was perfect and comfortable. Exactly what I was looking for. The manager Emma went over the top to accommodate me with everything I needed. She even arranged a special Christmas surprise in my room, as she knew I was spending Christmas alone. It really meant a lot. Also, I had left my power bank in the hotel room and Emma personally mailed it to me in Shenzhen! Top notch service. I definitely recommend Modena and will definitely return next time I go to Changsha. 10/10!

Only a business hotel. Get breakfast elsewhere

Room was great, spacious. Location of hotel was good too. Lack of information about places to visit and staff were not very forthcoming in helping find taxis, etc. which would be difficult if residents don't have a taxi app already. A few drivers did not recognise the real entrance of the hotel. Breakfast was terrible! Not a good selection of food - the quality of food was below standard for Chinese cuisine, also no management of space and seats which gets chaotic when it is crowded. The space is crowded and the food gets ruined quickly.

Nice

The room itself was fine -- spacious, quiet, and clean, with a kitchenette that included a small cooktop. The breakfast buffet was just OK. I was given a smoking room, even though I booked a nonsmoking room, but this wasn't a big problem as there was no strong cigarette smell.

Decent comfort stay

Washer & dryer in unit was very useful. Closet is at a weird location. Hotel smells like smoke but that’s most places in China.
