Cozy 2 bedroom apt in front of the sea

Our apartment is a modern 2-bedroom residence in Kalamaki just 20 meters from the beach. It comfortably fits 4 people, has a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom and a lovely balcony where you can enjoy the sea view!
The fully air-conditioned house is ideally located just 20 meters away from the beach and 5 kms from the city centre of Chania. It is the perfect starting point for excursions, as it is conveniently positioned on the coastal road leading out of town to the many top destinations of Western Crete. You will find a cosy living room with satellite TV, a dvd player and a mini HiFi, 2 relaxing bedrooms with extra-comfortable double beds and sea view, a spacious bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen (dish washer, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettler, iron), a washing machine and a wired and wireless internet connection to stay in touch with the world. The apartment also has just been redecorated and has a brand new bathroom remodel.
You will find a grocery store, bakery, mini-market and butcher on the main road right near the house. Greek traditional restaurants are also located a few minutes away from my apartment. You can walk seaside to a wonderful park and enjoy the sunset. There is bus service every 20 minutes and the bus stop is just a few meters away from the house.
A map of the area is provided, a baby cot and a baby chair upon request. I can also arrange car rental and optional pickup from the airport.
Fresh linen and towels, beach towels as well as a welcome basket are waiting for you upon arrival.

Magnifique

Tout s'est bien passé durant notre séjour à Xania. L'accueil et la communication avec Maria se sont bien passés. Nous avons apprécié les cadeaux de bienvenus. La proximité de la plage et la facilité de stationnement sont parfaits. Le logement est trÚs agréable et trÚs bien décoré.

A beautifully furnished and modern apartment with a spectacular view of the sea. The property is well- equipped and the welcome gifts were fantastic. It is also well located for time in Chania and nearby beaches. Nearby Golden beach negates the need to drive to other beaches identified as preferred in travel books and online.

What a lucky find. This place was perfect. Immaculately clean, fully provisioned, and in a great location. Maria provides a very thorough guide for the area and is incredibly responsive. We were personally greated upon arrival at almost midnight which made finding the unit and settling in much easier. This property is just outside Chania in a quiet suburb which made our trip substantially more enjoyable. There are good restaurants and beaches within walking distance, tho we would suggest a car to better explore Crete. Everyone we have met in Greece has been especially kind and owners of the new grocery store, Penny, two doors East became quick friends; we will miss them. Be sure to check out their wine selection.

Perfect Chania getaway

Maria’s place was perfectly clean and has an excellent location. We loved going to the beach across the street for a quick dip and to watch the sunset. Maria shared a list of recommendations for our stay - activities, restaurants etc and they did not disappoint!!Maria was responsive and excellent to work with. I will be recommending Maria’s place to my friends and family who visit Chania - and you too! Don’t miss this property.

The accommodation was newly refurbished and was immaculately clean refurbished to a high specification On arrival Maris had left a welcome pack also to meals ready to eat which was a nice surprise There was every thing you could need the kitchen was well equipped a 1 min walk to the beach p plenty of bars and restaurants near by bus stop at the bottom of the street buses every 15-30 mins to Chania which was about 15-20 mins depending which bus you were on Maria organised the taxi transfer to and from the airport all went smoothly I would definitely come back it’s 5 star and Maris is a fabulous host

From our first interaction with Maria to the last, The communication was excellent. We were surprised with a lunch on our first day made by her mom that was delicious! Holiday as it should be.

Holidays are for relaxing and that's what we were able to do in this lovely apartment. Incredibly clean, conveniently located - right across access to the sandy beach. It's within walking distance to local restaurants, and shops, local bus services, and car rentals. I did not have the pleasure of meeting our host, Maria, as she was on a well earned holiday of her own, but we were very well looked after by her friend, Elvira. We arrived late at night, but Elvira was there to meet us, show us where everything was and how it all worked. A delicious meal was waiting for us (very welcome), and a lovely welcome basket of fruit, wine, Raki, local tea and honey. I am comfortable giving a 5 star rating and confident that the next people to book this lovely apartment will enjoy it as much as we did.

Amazing stay!

Maria was a fantastic host from start to finish of our trip. She was very accommodating and made us aware of all there was to offer around the area. The apartment was fully equipped with all we needed and enjoyed by myself, partner and daughter. The home cooked meal made by Maria's mum was delicious and made our arrival easier with then looking for food. I would definitely recommend to stay in Iris. Thank you again for everything.

Crete Getaway

Maria’s apartment is lovely and the location is excellent. Upon arrival, she left us a beautiful array of gifts of wine, fruit, snacks, and Greek specialties. Her mother cooked us a homemade meal that was not only delicious, but perfect after a very long travel day! The apartment is located across the street from the beach, a short walk from the bus pick up, and within walking distances of MANY wonderful restaurants. It is also next door to a travel agency which was extremely helpful in booking an excursion to Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island. We would highly recommend this property and definitely go back. Wohnung Ok aber an Hauptstraße und daher sehr lsut

Die Wohnung war sauber und Maria war ein sehr guter Host. Bei Problemen war sie sofort ansprechbar und ist auch bei Problemen mit dem Fernseher zu uns gekommen und hat versucht, das Problem zu lösen. Es gab ein Welcome-Paket mit griechischen SpezialitĂ€ten fĂŒr uns, als wir in der Wohnung ankamen. Einmal hat Maria uns einen griechischen Auflauf vorbeigebracht, den ihre Mutter fĂŒr gekocht hat. Das waren sehr nette Aufmerksamkeiten, die nicht selbstverstĂ€ndlich sind. Die Wohnung war sauber, die beiden Schlafzimmer sehr schön. Allerdings hat die Wohnung kein richtiges Wohnzimmer sondern man sitzt eher in der großen Diele, die sich zur KĂŒche hin öffnet . Die KĂŒche ist ganz gut ausgestattet, aber sehr klein. FĂŒr 2 Erwachsene ist die Wohnung ausreichend aber fĂŒr 4 Erwachsene ist sie meiner Meinung nach zu klein und zu eng. Auch das Badezimmer ist meiner Meinung nicht fĂŒr mehr als 2 Personen geeignet, da es einfach zu klein ist. Die Couch im "Wohnzimmer" ist so platziert, dass man nicht gerade auf den Fernseher gucken kann. Anders lĂ€sst sich die Couch aber aufgrund der RaumgrĂ¶ĂŸe nicht stellen. Die Couch bietet Platz fĂŒr 3 Personen allerdings sitzt man dann sehr beengt Die 4. Person mĂŒsste dann auf einem Stuhl Platz nehmen. Der Balkon war fĂŒr uns nicht nutzbar, da er zu der Hauptstraße rausgeht, die sehr stark befahren ist. Man musste sich, wenn man miteinander sprechen wollte regelrecht anbrĂŒllen. Schlafen ging nur bei geschlossenen Fenstern und mit Ohrstöpseln. Die Lage der Wohnung ist gut. Ein sehr schöner Strand liegt auf der gegenĂŒber liegenden Straßenseite ca. 3 Gehminuten entfernt. Gute Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer NĂ€he zu finden. Chania ist recht nah und eine wunderschöne Stadt. Maria ist eine gute Gastgeberin. Wer allerdings Ruhe sucht, ist mit dieser Wohnung nicht gut beraten.

Perfect!

Maria was an amazing host from start to finish. She was always quick to respond to my many questions before and during my stay, which included questions about transportation, local markets, places to visit and more. She arranged a taxi from the airport for me, as well as a personal greeter to check me in to the villa. Upon arrival to the villa, I found a delicious welcome basket of wine, fruit and dinner, much appreciated after a long day of travel from the States. As well, I came down with a cold in Greece, and when Maria heard this, she sent homemade meals to help aid in my recovery! I spent several days sick on the comfortable sofa watching Netflix on the smart tv, and enjoyed the view of the sea each morning and evening from the balcony. With two markets in walking distance and a fully-equipped kitchen, I was able to prepare meals every day as needed. I also packed light because I could do my own laundry in the washing machine in the villa! To find things to do on the island, I followed Maria’s recommendations in her carefully-prepared booklet, seeing the sights of Old Town Chania, Paleochora, Reythemno and more. I also went to Maria’s recommended restaurants. She has great taste!! Walks on the beach just steps from the villa were perfect too. Maria and her beautiful villa made my first trip to Crete a perfect one I will not ever forget! đŸ‡ŹđŸ‡·đŸ’–

Nice Apartment and Great Host (María 😊)

The apartment Iris is really nice , clean and comfortable , specially the rooms are very well decorated. The kitchen is new and you find all cookware that you need and more. We felt at home and we enjoyed in Crete very much . Unfortunately we didn’t meet with Maria , but she is very kind and generous person. Thank you very much for all !!!

Sehr gute Kommunikation mit Maria. Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön und Maria hat keine WĂŒnsche offen gelassen. Unsere Erwartungen wurden ĂŒbertroffen. Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Reichlich ParkplĂ€tze die Straße GegenĂŒber. NĂ€he zum Strand. Straße etwas laut, aber die WellengerĂ€uschen dĂ€mpfen die LautstĂ€rke.

The property was just as expected but with just a few little extras. A wonderful welcome pack, a cooked meal ready to warm up and a nice, cosy feel.

Summer holiday

As a family with a 5 year old this property was ideally situated. A minute from the beach, if that. Supermarkets and restaurants close by and a regular bus service five minutes from the property was useful as we did not hire a car. The property itself is great. It had everything we needed plus extra little touches provided by Maria and her family. Maria is extremely easy to communicate with and responded efficiently to any queries we had from the beginning of the booking process all the way through. She arranged the airport transfer for us too. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return. Thank you!

Brilliant!

Best appartment I have stayed in. Nothing was needed, so no trip to find a supermarket. In fact, the basket of goodies was much appreciated. Maria was amazing to deal with. Answered any questions we had promptly. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend the appartment and Maria to my friends.

Very comfortable and well equipped

We loved this apartment! It was really well equipped and very clean. Maria was a very considerate host, there was a meal waiting for us on the day we arrived as well as wine, fruit and coffee. She arranged for us to be collected from the airport and for a taxi to take us back at the end of our stay. We hired a car and it was useful to be able to park on the road opposite the apartment. Only a couple of minutes drive to the supermarket. Right by the bus stop to get to Chania too. All in all a great place to stay.
