Nice house but terrible management, service, and communication
This house is just as it appears in the pictures - views are gorgeous (with telephone wires, but who cares), pool is fantastic, and the rooms are generally comfortable. One thing the photos and description don't show is that two of the rooms are adjoined - so that limits privacy for those two rooms considerably.
The reason I can't give this home an overall good rating is that the communication with Leaderstay (the property manager) was genuinely terrible. They never responded to my messages on the VRBO platform - as of a week before our stay I had not heard from them. So I Googled the company and messaged them through their corporate inbox and called them at their office as well. This did get a response, but it's ridiculous that I had to search for them to get the address and directions to the house I had rented.
When we arrived at the house we discovered that the lock and shutters for one of the sliding glass doors was broken. We immediately informed the management and they said they could maybe get it fixed in the next few days. So essentially we stayed in an unlocked house for 4 of our 5 day stay - which didn't seem to concern the management at all. We were also surprised to find that we had been allocated one towel per person (we were a group of four) and when we asked for a few extra towels were told no in no uncertain terms. I pointed out that we had rented and paid for a house that accommodates eight people and so could we just have that many towels? No. They told us that a cleaner came every three days and would provide fresh towels then. Day three came and went - no cleaning, no fresh towels. Cleaning happened on the afternoon of our last day there. Utterly ridiculous.
They had also turned off the refrigerator between guests - so some of the food we bought spoiled while the refrigerator rebooted and got cold overnight.
In short this place had none of the niceties that a good host sometimes provides - fridge and cupboards bare, no neighborhood information or recommendations, and terrible to non-existent communication. The house itself was fine - but I strongly recommend avoiding rentals managed by Leaderstay.
