Olives and Thyme Retreat is located on the Greek island of Crete in the popular resort region of Chania. The luxury villa complex is set in an olive grove overlooking Souda Bay, on the cliffs of Akrotiri. One of the most popular local beaches is Seitan Limania Beach, and other local attractions include the Holy Trinity Monastery (Agia Triada), the Katholiko Monastery, and Vinolio Vineyard. Akrotiri is also home to a well-known and much-liked restaurant called Nykterida Restaurant.

The retreat is located about 17 km east of the city of Chania, which offers its own array of historical attractions, museums, shops, restaurants, and beaches. Chania International Airport is only about 8 km from the holiday complex, and the nearest hospital is Chania’s St George General Hospital (19 km).

A car is necessary for your transportation. We can also organize a transfer in order to come to the villa, and the day after, rental cars can be delivered at the property

1. You can arrive at your accommodation after 15:00 on the Arrival Date of your holiday and you must leave by 11:00 on the Departure Date. But in any case if you wish to arrive earlier or depart later than the mentioned hours feel free to contact us and we will fulfill your request if the villa is available with no extra cost. If your arrival will be delayed, you must contact us so that alternative arrangements can be made. If you fail to do so you may not be able to gain access to the Property. If you fail to arrive by midday on the day after the Arrival Date and you have not contacted us, we may treat the booking as having been cancelled by you.

2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not enter the property or stay overnight in the property. Any kind of Party for more than the people staying in the property must be informed prior booking the villa, which in some cases it might not be accepted and if accepted extra charge might apply. In case you do so, we can refuse to hand over the Property to you, or can require you to leave. We will treat any of these circumstances as a cancelation of the booking by you and we shall be under no obligation to refund you for any fees already paid to us
in those circumstances. Any refund will be at our sole discretion

3. Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. If however, you have any cause for complaint it is important that action is taken as soon as possible. It is essential that you contact us if any problem arises so that it can be speedily resolved. It is often extremely difficult (and sometimes impossible) for us to resolve difficulties properly unless we are promptly notified. In particular, complaints of a transient nature(example: electric power issues, warm water is out etc.) cannot possibly be investigated unless you will let us know as soon as possible whilst you are in residence.
Also after staying in the property for 48 hours and we have not received any message or email from you about any broken facilities/amenities in the property, we will hold the guest responsible for any damages caused and must be paid or replaced by the guest on spot.


4. Smoking is Not allowed in the properties so we request all of our guests not to smoke in the properties
but to smoke outside on the exterior areas such us by swimming pools, balconies, verandas, patios or terrace

5. Housekeeping: There is light daily housekeeping service. Cleaning and linen change are done every 3/4 days.
In case you wish for the villa to be cleaned more often, it’s possible for an extra charge.


7. Pool: The pool is not covered, built to the standards of the Greek Tourism Organization EOT. Parents have full responsibility for supervision of their minor children No children under the age of 12 permitted the pool at any time without adult supervision. When using the pool, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk.Each pool is available for heating at an additional charge of €80 per day, per pool, not included in the accommodation price and must be requested at least 2 days in advance. Please also note that the temperature of the heated pool goes up to approx. 5 degrees Celsius higher than the ambient air temperature.

8. Tenants agree to respect the property. In case of any damage that will be made, the tenants will have to pay the cost on spot and before living the villa

9. The owner agrees to provide a clean home, cleaned just before the arrival of tenants.
Cleaning is done by us, changing towels and bed linen is included in the price.
