It is situated in Kalamaki, Chania, offering a prime location right in front of the sea, amid numerous beautiful and fully equipped sandy beaches and a variety of tourist amenities. This property is an ideal choice for discerning travelers. The area boasts an array of fish taverns, restaurants, and beach bars, all set within the splendid natural environment of peninsulas and crystal-clear waters, with a lovely atmosphere day and night.



The apartment features a tastefully decorated living room with comfortable sofas. There is a dining table, and the living room flows seamlessly into a fully equipped modern open-plan kitchen. loved the flat and location was great for beach and restaurants. I am gluten free so finding places to eat is always a challenge however there was three very good places within 5 mins walk, so really great. 20 minutes bus drive to Chania town

Modern beach front

This property was a very spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath. It has restaraunts and shops near by but is not it the heart of Old Town Chania. However only a short drive to it. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay

A good apartment, very clean and spacious. The best bit is the view onto the beach, we didn’t use the pool but it looked ok. It’s not very private but that’s what you get for being in the action

Excellent Spot on the Beach

The place was lovely and the location, with a small beach just across the street, was excellent! The hosts were incredible. Very responsive and accommodating. When we noticed a malfunctioning ac unit, the owners had it fixed within an hour of us contacting them. And when we requested a late check out, they graciously agreed so we had extra time in town. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable for a family of four

I loved hearing the ocean all the time. Three bathrooms for three rooms was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was clean. There is a supermarket nearby and Chania is a short drive. One thing that would be easy to fix is to turn down the power of the toilet when it flushes because water goes everywhere.

Very good. Great location

Really lovely apartment although not a huge indoor living space was adequate for us as a family of four…mainly as we were on the balcony most of the time we were in the apartment soaking up the gorgeous view of the bay across the road. The main road directly in front of the apartment is a little noisy but we got used to it and just loved being across the road from the beach. Would benefit from sheets that actually fitted the super king size main bed, a better fitted kitchen bin and more cutlery but we still had a great stay here.

Review of sonja beach apartment

The beach was perfect for both kids and adults to have fun and swim on. The apartment was in great condition. The cleaning could be improved. Or at least state somewhere what the cleaning includes. Visible dirty towels were not changed for several days. In the pictures of the apartement it looks like there is a big lawn outside the apartement. This was not the case, and kind of a dissapointment.

Our overall rating of 4 is adequate. As many others mentioned, the road between the house and the beach is very busy and noisy. When you face the house, the grass on the left side of the house has not been cut for quite a while and it is not possible to have long chairs on this grass. So the pictures on the VRBO website should be modified. Although the house is very clean and well located, the word LUXURY Is not adequate. There seems to be a trend of misused of the word luxury in many apartments to rent. The owners were very helpful in responding to our requests.

Great balcony and views over the beach and bay Having 3 double bedrooms, 2 ensuite, good air conditioning in lounge and all bedrooms. Nice having the cleaner come daily. Useful having a washing machine. Is a really nice modern apartment. Would have been helpful being given the correct exact apartment address and have 2 keys. Apartment needs a proper bread toaster (not a sandwich toaster), more cutlery, sharp knives, crockery and saucepans, better fitted kitchen bin. The super kingsize bed in main bedroom is great but needs sheets that actually fit ie bigger sheets. There was a drip of water regularly from the upstairs balcony onto ours. Would have been good if the balcony tables were clean when we arrived and were regularly cleaned as they do get dusty being outside. Generally a great venue.

Aucune surprise, le proprietaire a ete tres professionnel et reactif dés que nous avons posé une question : c'est rassurant ! Tout etait tres propre, toutes les installations fonctionnelles. Le seul bemol, c'est la grosse route entre le logement et la mer : tres bruyante et pas tres glamour. Apres, quand on fait abstration de cette route, la vue est superbe, il y a tout a proximité, mais un peu trop loin du centre pour se passer de voiture.

The apartment was clean and beautiful, I loved how modern it was. The only thing better than the apartment itself was the location - the view was incredible and there was a great beach, fabulous restaurants, and shopping nearby.
