Great location in downtown Charleston

We visited Charleston for a short weekend stay. We booked a suite room with a nice floor layout. The room was very cool which we prefer for sleep/comfort. The Francis Marion rooms overall could use some upgrades as the amenities/bathrooms are very dated. Overall, our favorite part of Francis Marion is the central location off King Street half way between shopping and restaurants. My family do appreciate the close proximity of Starbucks (bottom floor) of hotel. I would stay at FM again.

Beautiful lobby, great views and historic feel. Bathroom is a bit small, but that’s normal for an older hotel. Loved feeling like we were experiencing part of Charleston’s history. Beds were comfy and we slept well.
