I want to start with the positive and say how lovely Sherhonda is and how she went out of her way to make guests feel welcomed. She included toiletries, wine, water and snacks! She was also very accommodating in allowing an early check in and later check out. While the inside of the property itself was great, we had significant safety concerns about the surrounding area that I feel should be shared with future renters. During our stay, we observed ongoing drug activity, solicitation, and individuals who appeared to be experiencing homelessness in the immediate vicinity. We witnessed visible drug transactions near the house and a man stumbling out of the nearby woods where there appeared to be a homeless encampment. These conditions made us uncomfortable leaving the property, especially at night and with children and we did not feel safe during our stay. As a renter, I believe this information is important for others to know so they can make informed decisions about whether this location suits their needs and comfort level; especially if you are not familiar with the town of Charlotte.
