A sudeley castle cottage that sleeps 6 guests in 2 bedrooms
Over its vivid and expansive history, Sudeley Castle has played host to many of Englandâs reigning queens, from Anne Boleyn to Queen Elizabeth. Named in commemoration of all its regal visitors of the past, Queens Cottage is an elegantly converted old engine house that offers guests a stay in a historic setting.
The front outdoor dining area overlooks the estate courtyard and is a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee before heading out for the day, perhaps to Sudeley Castle. The ground floor is spacious and open plan with a comfortable sitting area, dining area and a kitchen to the rear. There is also a family bathroom. In the sitting area one of the sofas can be converted into a double bed. Historic images remind you of this cottages' past and in the living area a discerning picture of Queen Victoria overlooks your adventure planning. At the end of the day this is a lovely place to put your feet up and enjoy a movie night. Upstairs both bedrooms offer plenty of storage and share use of the family shower room.
From your front door you are a short walk from Winchcombe and the country pubs, restaurants and wonderful walks that are on offer. Cheltenham, Cleeve Hill and Bourton and Broadway further afield are all easily reached and well worth a visit during your time here.

The Queen's Cottage was perfect for our visit to Sudeley Castle and Winchcombe. It was spacious, clean and just as described. Entry into the castle was free with our stay which was an extra bonus. Not a lot of dining options in town.
Excellent facilities and parking. Easy access to castle and small town. Bakery, shop and pub/restaurants within 5 mins walk. If you stay in the castle cottages you get free access to the castle. Did not need to communicate with property manager but for the purposes of this review I have to give a star rating so give 5 in line with everything else.
This cottage is almost perfect. We booked specifically for the wheelchair access since my hubby is a paraplegic anc cannot walk. There are two rooms upstairs. One with a queen and the other with two twins. The bed downstairs is a pull out from the couch. It is very small and not suitable for two adults. The mattress is super thin. We ended up sleeping on the couches the 2nd night.
Very lovely and clean. Perfect except for the sleeping downstairs.
Everything brand new. In cute little village of other homes/rentals.
Couldn't figure out Asher/dryer combo but owner was very attentive and ent someone overvrught away. Upstairs shower can literally scald you. Be sure to turn water heater down before using and to purge some of the hot water before showering I would very much enjoy staying there again and recommend it. Two couples stayed in the cottage. Sudeley Castle just up the street with free entry when staying st the cottage.
