Tucked away in a quiet rural village with pub. Great walking and cycling country

LITTLE BARNFIELD is an ideal base in the heart of the Cotswolds for a walking, cycling or exploring break. It's nestled in an unspoilt hamlet with a pub serving excellent food, just a few minutes walk away!
For walkers, there are wonderful footpaths leading from the cottage door and there's safe storage for bikes if you're on a cycling break.
The open plan living area is light and spacious with dining area and comfortable leather chairs. The kitchen is well equipped. A spindled staircase leads to the double bedroom with skylight
( perfect for star gazing!) Both bathroom and bedroom have a sloping ceiling.
The honey coloured villages of Guiting Power and Upper and Lower Slaughter are very near and it's just a short drive to Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Chipping Campden and Broadway. Cheltenham is easily accessible, making the cottage a great base for Gold Cup Week. It's about an hour to explore the dreaming spires of Oxford and some guests arrive having already booked seats for the Royal Shakespeare in Stratford
All of this and at the end of the day a pub serving excellent food is just a few minutes walk away!

The open plan living/ dining area is light and spacious with dining table and chairs, comfortable leather armchairs and nest of tables. The TV has Freeview and there's a DVD player. WiFi is also available in the cottage. The kitchen is well-equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer box and iron/ ironing board are provided. There is a clothes airer and a dryer is available in an outhouse. There is stable door to both back and front of the cottage and a stone mullioned window looks onto the garden with its lovely old ash tree and seating area. There's also a barbeque available.
From the lounge a pretty spindled staircase leads to the upper floor landing with a pine chest of drawers and an eclectic book collection. The double bedroom, with sloping ceiling has a comfortable, double bed and bathroom also with sloping ceiling, has a wash hand basin, WC and bath with hand-held shower over. All linen and towels are provided.
The cottage is next to my own house and there is safe parking for one vehicle is at the front of the cottage.

The cottage has central heating and electricity is included in the price.
There is liquid hand soap provided in both kitchen and bathroom along with bubble bath.
There is a welcome, home made cake or cookies. Milk, tea and coffee bags are included to start you off,

Please be aware that there is no dishwasher or washing machine in the cottage.
Please also note that due to the sloping ceiling, there is no stand-under shower, it is a hand-held shower over the bath.

The mobile phone signal is variable depending on the provider but in general is 4G
The cottage is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and to allow for a changeover, checkout time is 10am on the day that you leave.
