For a dose of culture and curiosity, the Museum of Science and Industry—home to the fascinating German Submarine U-505—is always a fun adventure, while the Hyde Park Art Center offers inspiring local artwork and creative programs. Getting Around:
Getting around Hyde Park is simple and convenient. Just a minute’s walk takes you to the S Hyde Park & 53rd Street bus stop, while the S Hyde Park & 54th Street stop is only a couple minutes away. If you’re heading a bit further, the Lake Park & 53rd Street bus stop is about a five-minute walk, and the 51st/53rd Street (Hyde Park) train station is roughly eight minutes on foot, making it easy to hop on the bus or train and explore the rest of Chicago.
