Love staying at Freehand Chicago! Perfect location, great food and late night DJ hangs with a cool Photo Booth that is always fun. The staff is awesome. The ONLY issue is the elevators are often out or very very sloooooooow.

Never staying here again

The room itself was TINY. Bed comfort was horrible. The pillows on the bed were very hard and the space around the bed was so tight we couldn’t walk around the room with ease. The lighting in the room and bathroom was awful and you couldn’t see anything. The shower was so disgusting it didn’t look like it had ever been scrubbed. The sink was basically falling off the wall in the bathroom and no where to put your toiletries to get ready. Doors didn’t open all the way. Someone actually opened the main door to our room and said “oops wrong room!!” No knock prior to opening it either and we didn’t know if it was housekeeping or not. There aren't any amenities in the room either, just basic cable on the tv. No mini fridge or anything. Overall just horrible experience and I will not be staying here again.

Used to really like this hotel. Very chill, I liked the interior design and minimalist style. But the attention to detail is diminishing. No water bottles proved in room (free or at cost), some lights and chargers didn’t work, moldy smell in my room, shampoo and conditioner pumps didn’t work. Would be nice to have a mini fridge in the room. Positives: they’ve always given me an early check in, the bars are great (Broken Shaker), friendly staff, central location.
