Five29, The Gunlock

Welcome to Five29, The Gunlock. This newly renovated home is named after the original owners who built & shared their family home for nearly 75 years. It features 3 bedrooms and 1 and 3/4 bath with a spacious, fenced in yard. It is central to all things in Chillicothe. Industry, Shopping, Food, Hiking, and HISTORY!
The space
The home features two bedrooms with queen size beds and 1/2 story bedroom with a twin XL and twin bed. It has one and a 3/4 bathrooms. The full bathroom is on the 1st floor situated between the queen bedrooms and has tub/shower combo. The 3/4 bathroom in the basement has a shower, toilet, and sink (see photos). The home has a front porch with a table and chairs to relax in the mornings or evenings. It has a large backyard with a covered porch, but currently under repair (be careful when using the yard). The kitchen includes full size appliances (refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher). It is conveniently stocked with a Keurig, toaster, cooking and bakeware, dishes, and cutlery. There is a washer and dryer in the basement. The home has a driveway that can accommodate two cars and also has free on street parking.
Guest access
Access to entire home and property. However, all aspects of the property, house, and contents are use at your own risk. Be especially careful in the backyard as there are holes that are scheduled for repair.
Other things to note
Please be respectful of your neighbors and observe quiet hours from 10 pm-8 am. Smoking outside only. There will be a $250 fee if there is any evidence of smoking inside the home.

Perfect location and hosts

This home is always clean with little touches like hairbands and hair dryers ready for your arrival. The only suggestion I have is a few baking pans and some pot holders would make it perfect. Love the communication, always friendly and helpful here. We've stayed multiple times and will be back if in the area again.

Stayed a night coming from North Carolina to Indiana. Very nice renovated older home near downtown. Perfect for our overnight stay. Was near downtown breakfast joints. Highly recommend Crispie Cream Donuts too!

Great stay!

We were in town for a surprise birthday party and stayed for 3 nights. The location was perfect (close to main areas of Chillicothe), the house was clean (with plenty of towels and some paper products), and the beds were incredibly comfortable! We like a mid-firmness mattress and the bedroom to the left of the bathroom was perfect for us. The other bed was a bit firmer but our adult daughter said she slept great! The extra bathroom in the basement was great for getting ready in the mornings; the only drawback was that it was pretty cold in that bathroom since it's in a basement. But the nice hot shower helped warm up the room. Communication was great with the property manager, and check-in/check-out was a breeze.We have family in Chillicothe so I'd definitely book this rental again!

Girls Weekend

Shopped with sister and friend in the area. Cozy bungalow to stay at. Had no problems. Everything was clean. Plenty of pillows. Mattress was comfortable. Would stay again if in that area and recommend if you need lodging in or near Chillicothe, Ohio.
